I once had a job in an area that could get to 95-100F degrees in summer and around 0F in the winter, and I worked in both of those conditions. Let me put it this way: When winter came, all I wanted was for it to be summer again. When summer came, I wasn't enjoying the heat, but I sure wasn't waiting for winter. My assessment hasn't changed at all since moving back to Florida: No matter how unbearable the heat is and not matter how much I sweat, I'd much rather put up with this than what I had to deal with in the cold. At least here I just need to stay hydrated, eat well, dress light, and rinse off if things start getting too bad. With the cold, there were times where no amount of clothing could protect from the cold and wind.

Then again, my perspective may also be because I one time got extremely cold water stuck in my shoes, had to work in a snowstorm, and had to stay active in that snowstorm for two hours before I could get inside to start warming off. Let me just put it this way: Have you ever been so cold that your hands and feet (despite being covered) felt like they were burning from the cold, you couldn't stop shivering for hours (even after a hot shower), and you could feel food sitting in your stomach because your body decided to stop digesting it in order to save energy for more critical tasks? Yeah, the heat hasn't come close to making me feel that bad.

As for humidity tolerance: Once again, I live in Florida. Take a guess as to how well I can handle heat and humidity.

It is odd, but as I'm getting older my tolerance for heat is diminishing fast. Every hot summer day now feels like hell itself, like I'm sitting in a cooking pot waiting for my end for an excruciatingly long time.

That is why I love cold seasons, you can always move a little and put another layer on to sort that shit out, with heat you can only go down to your shirt... after that there is nothing, you are completely fucked.

Hot, because the hotter it gets, the more excuses I get to not be wearing any clothes.

Cold. Cold so much.
If you're cold, you steadily put on more clothes, until you're warm- and being warm because you're under a literal tonne of coats is super comfortable.

If you're hot you're gross and live shower to shower but it's too hot to have hot showers so you have a lukewarm shower and that's disgusting.

I mean, I'm not crazy about either, being honest. Too cold is still too cold, but at least it's easier to take steps to stop being too cold.

It's better to be too cold. If you're too cold you can always layer up, but if you're too hot there's only so much you can remove.

Being too cold is awful for me, because I have arthritis and cold makes it hurt much worse than usual.

I'd much rather be uncomfortably hot. Because the sticky can be showered off, and you know antiperspirant is a thing. If it's hot enough I can just pick a comfy enough spot and not move.

Uncomfortably hot, mostly because it would have to be pretty damn hot to be uncomfortable for me. I have excellent heat resistance. When the sun is blazing and everyone else is melting, I'm in my element. But on the other hand, I already start to get chilly when temperatures drop below 15-16°C (~60°F). So definitely hot.

Cold.

If I'm cold I can put more clothes on. If I'm overheating there's only so much clothing I can take off.

Plus I just hate the heat. Fuck heat. Especially the humid kind where the air feels all heavy and thick.

Cold doesn't bother me as much. So long as I'm dry and moving, I'm generally comfortable.

Cold

If I feel the cold I put on more clothes

When I easily feel hot I risk an indecent exposure charge.

To answer the OP: definately hot, id rather deal with something that doesnt make you sick and just means you need to hydrate more, as opposed to cold which a) makes you sick and b) your body has no natural "defense mechanism" for.

To answer the question everyone else read somewhere else: Still hot, because it can be fixed by taking off your mittens/jacket/changing you winter shoes for summer ones, as opposed to putting more stuff on.(if youre allowed to start from whatever clothing you want, so am i.)

Hot. When winter comes where I live, the wilds are numb, the days are darkest cold seeps into your very bones no matter what you wear, and every action you make is resisted by frigid needles even indoors. You don't want to take showers even with boiling hot water, because afterwards your wet hair and body feel even worse the moment you step out. The outdoor wind leaves your ears numb, forces your eyes shut and sometimes blows strongly enough to push bikes around, not to mention how it messes with cars.

If I were in a game, ice or possibly wind would be my elemental weakness. Being too hot to me feels closer to simply being tired. You can fix it with a swim, a shower, stripping down to a T-shirt and shorts, or just going to the basement.

Cold because I sweat like a fire hose. Here's a though how do you think people would answer this question if you asked it in winter.
