I knew how Reach was going to end: badly. In that opening cutscene of Halo: Combat Evolved, no-one ever says anything about Cheif being the only Spartan left, or said that they were the only ship to escape. Halo: The Fall of Reach, expanded on Cheif's past, as well as the Battle of Reach. We see that Autumn is still the only ship to make it out, but that Cheif is not the last Spartan. It is impossible for Halo: Reach to fit into the Halo timeline at this point, because (A: Most of NOBLE was comprised of S-IIIs, which was a project not started until AFTER the Fall of Reach, and (B:, with the number of Covenant ships above Reach, even with Keyes' skill, he would not have been able to make the jump before having critical systems destroyed by Covenant fire. The Autumn is almost unscathed as it enters space around Treshold.

At this point, I suggest we drop this topic, as it's getting way off-topic of the thread's topic.

The short answer is only if you strongly prefer FPSs to other genres. The long answer is boring and not much more informative.

Personally, yes. Before I start, I would just like to say, I love Reach and COD multiplayer just as much as the next guy, but it did make the respective campaigns...worse then what they could have been. Like the whole *spoilers* brainwashing thing in Black Ops. Seriously? Did any effort go into that story? *end spoilers* The multiplayer is where all the effort went and it shows. More and more developers are seeing this as the best way to make their game the best and and taking more resources out of single player.
