I knew how Reach was going to end: badly. In that opening cutscene of Halo: Combat Evolved, no-one ever says anything about Cheif being the only Spartan left, or said that they were the only ship to escape. Halo: The Fall of Reach, expanded on Cheif's past, as well as the Battle of Reach. We see that Autumn is still the only ship to make it out, but that Cheif is not the last Spartan. It is impossible for Halo: Reach to fit into the Halo timeline at this point, because (A: Most of NOBLE was comprised of S-IIIs, which was a project not started until AFTER the Fall of Reach, and (B:, with the number of Covenant ships above Reach, even with Keyes' skill, he would not have been able to make the jump before having critical systems destroyed by Covenant fire. The Autumn is almost unscathed as it enters space around Treshold.Nicholas Woodruff said:If you didn't know how Reach was going to end as soon as they started talking about the fall of Reach in Halo: Combat Evolved, than you are sorely missing out. All of Noble team had to die out for it to fit into cannon, even though Reach didn't fit into the Halo: Fall of Reach cannon at all, we still love it.
At this point, I suggest we drop this topic, as it's getting way off-topic of the thread's topic.
