You're one of the lucky ones, I'm on my 5th xbox.(I went through 4 originals and now I have a slim) But I've had friends who's xbox hasn't ever had any problems. Though the red ring was a very expansive problem, it was by no means all consuming. But, if you did make a deal with satan, could you give him my number?

I got a used MW2 elite Xbox 360 for christmas 2 years ago, then when my brother moved in October I started using it, the disc reader broke within a week, but no red ring, so I got another plain white used Xbox 360 and it has worked ever since. Also it isn't that unusual for a 360 to not break, I am pretty sure the failure rate was less than 25%

It's clearly evil and/or possed by the devil and must therefore be exorcised.

OT: I wouldn't know, I own a PS3, although it watches me sleep and sometimes says: I can't let you do that Dave. I'm so afraid...Somebody help me....

My launch console is still going as well. One I bought for my wife later red-ringed, but she fixed it. She's a techno-wizard.
You and your wife have separate 360s?
Uhm, yes? I kinda thought that was implied. lol That way we can play stuff like Dead Island online with friends. :)

I got my Xbox during the release week and to this date... No red ring of death. Not even any system errors or game crashes.

Is that abnormal? I haven't met anyone else who's system HASN'T failed on them. My theory is that it's satan-spawn incarnate; a deus ex machina of sorts.
if you've had it that long without any kind of failure you probably aren't meeting Microsoft's expected revenu... Usage.. of the device.

honestly some people do abuse their hardware and that artificially inflates the defunct console score dramatically you aren't supposed to leave it on 24/7, you aren't supposed to set it to loop a cd forever, you aren't meant to enclose it in a tv stand where it cant breathe.. ect

and people do these things. they artificially shorten the lifespan of the unit quite allot
and, also Microsoft are cheap XD

I understand that it was implied. I'm just a little curious, seeing as how I've never seen a single household with more than 1 of the same console. It seems slightly redundant. But now that you explain, that makes a bit more sense. :)

Keep it until demons start crawling out of all the little nooks and crannies in your system.

There's no way to tell if it's Satan's Xbox until his minions start crawling out of it.
