I mean, despite the fact that the console was set to auto-login, that still doesn't entitle you to use the account. It's similar to someone finding your front door open, heading in and using your stuff.

Personally, threatening to take the case to court might be overdoing it a bit, but in my eyes, he has every right to, and I also think he should drag you to court, because that sort of thing is just rude.
