I'm debating getting Saints Row 3 during this Steam sale so I thought I'd ask the interweb what it thinks of the game's value. All opinions are valid but leave other games out of the conversation. This is a yes or No question. Explanations are appreciated.

While the game is fun, it's novelty wears off quite quickly, It doesn't have the staying power the second one has. I would call it a rent game as it is worth playing through at least once. But since this is PC we are talking about, To me yes, but if you don't think you would play it through a second time, wait till its lower.

Well any game on the PC I play into the ground so to speak. That and I'm more than likely to indulge in the mindless violence for a good while. What changes in between playthroughs?

well the game will be the same, but how you do it might be different. it is a sandbox after all.

No, no, not at all. I'm biased but the I found the game to have crap graphics and awful controls. Juvenile humor can't make a weak game good. Shame though, been a big fan of Volition since the Freespace series.

Yes.

While I don't approve of the utterly disgusting 40 week DLC system that the game seems to have in store, there's already plenty of mileage on the disc. There were some aspects I was disappointed in, but that doesn't destroy the entire experience. Weapons are fun to use, the variety of vehicles is delicious, and the missions are spectacular. It's a very lean experience, with little fat.

i got it the day it came out and let me tell you it plays damn near perfect. the city is huge and the weapons are fun. There is not to much loading time, and it's pretty funny. the only problem i had with it was the story was all over the place and its pretty short. But the first dlc is coming soon so that'll add on a few more hours to it. so yes it is worth every penny

The char creating and customization was superb. And I enjoyed the game a whole lot more than I have the past GTA iteration. Novelty as people said wore off and just found myself wandering around aimlessly.

This was probably one of the few games that made me for pause when a choice came up. graphics are not really that bad, and it is genuinely really funny. It also REALLY fun when you get a jet.
