I haven't had a serious girlfriend in over a year, and I don't exactly get laid all the time, but I find I am a much more calm and collected person when I have recently had meaningful sexual contact. Random shit doesn't really do it for me.

Edit: Oh, seriously? Bunch of votes but no replies? Come on guys, this is the internet. I can understand being shy about this shit in a social setting, but come on. We're all intelligent people here at the Escapist forums, aren't we?

Sex is a good fun way to stay healthy. It burns calories. Oh but in all seriousness i appreciate it once and a while. This chick i work with though total sex addict she had a headache for the last week because she wasn't getting any.

Don't care for it much unless its with a girl who might be worth the trouble of trying to bang and those are few and rare.

I'm a game designer/developer/programmer who plays D&D every week with a love for intelligent music and a particular dislike for the bar scene.

So...no.

And I've been a Dungeon Master since the age of nine and I'm currently working on a Game Design and Development Bacholar of Art's degree... I find your reasons inappropriate.

I find sex is not IMPORTANT in my life, however it is a great thing to show your lover how much they mean to you. Should not just be sex with some random girl you met in the bar and don't know anything about. You should love the person and them love you back. You should be able to go without sex for the person you love if they do not like sex. I myself prefer to have romance in my relationships, a thing often forgotten in most of the current generation.

That's why I'd never use a poll. It makes it too easy for someone to just vote and move on. If you don't have a poll, then they're more likely to actually express their opinions.

Anyways, the human body can survive and function normally without sex, and I have little sympathy for people who are "sexually estranged." Just keep your emotions in check.

Congrats! I'm glad to see there's hope at least...

EDIT: Sorry for the double post, hit the wrong button.

There is always hope. All one needs is the right woman...

I also have to add that an active sex life isn't for every single couple out there. Sex might be important to my love and myself, but that does not mean that every single person will have the same lifestyle... or even wish to pursue it... Especially when she's in the mood and you have an eight o'clock shift in the morning... -groan-

P.S. and yes, I am indeed eighteen and have a fiancee'. I've had this discussion many times before, not having it now.

I think you'll find it's more that people have seen so many sex-related threads that they know how things are going to play out. They most likely wouldn't be posting anyway. Oddly enough, this is an original thread if i am any judge, and i am not deja-spanking the idea. But all the threads like this tend to go on a similar vien after a while.

I'm in a pretty sexually activity relationship, to me sex isn't for fun, I really have had sex while in a relationship and if you love the person more then anything else in the world, then sex is a way of expressing each others love. No I'm not gay, but think about it, sex is a key part to any healthy relationship and it is a way to express feelings, and it's a great way for exercise :p. Sex is i guess half and half important to me, I can go without it, but it's a great feeling to have sex with the person you're in love with.

Stick it out for the rest of us! Problem is *finding* the right woman (or, at this stage, *any* women). I'll keep looking.

EDIT: And for the record, I couldn't care less how old you are; as long as both of you are happy.

I always thought that the people who just voted and moved on weren't worth listening to in the first place but that's just me...
Yes, but there's been more than one time I've been tempted to just vote and bail. I'm sure I'm not alone in this.

I'm in a long distance relationship so I don't have sex all the time and in truth, I don't need it all the time. It's nice from time to time.

Wait... what does being gay have anything to do with that...
Are straight men not allowed to be emotional?
No it's just that I know a lot of people that I have met over the course of high school and call me gay for me being emotional, so I just wanted to avoid any incidents from any pricks that I knew from high school

I'm a virgin, does that make me slightly more appealing than being a non-virgin? I can't tell, I'm too shy and can't get close enough to guys to make them like me, mostly because of bad experiences in the past making me feel it is a waste of effort...

don't ask me if I'm ugly, I don't think I am.

Dude, fuck those people. They're immature little children.
