Hell, even if you get just TF2, it is worth the $20. That game has had so much add on content by ValvE, that if it were any other developer, it would be re-released as a GOTY edition for $50. And since all of that is free from ValvE...

Get Orange Box if you care AT ALL about the other games though. HL2, Ep1, Ep2, and Portal are all great (I don't think that had to be said anyways), and if you don't have any of them and have ANY interest in playing them - get the Orange Box.

Either way, its a must get.

There can never be enough recommendation for an FPS shooter that doesn't take itself too seriously, that updates and patches are free and you can get new weapons at random to use.

I know for a fact that many people still play the PC version and that those people would swear that it was the best purchase of their lives.

I can't give you a personal answer though, as I haven't played it on PC (or played it in general).

Sounds and looks good though. I'd say that it's safe to give it a go.

I paid ten bucks for it at Best Buy personally. If I were to put a price to it based on my personal enjoyment of it I would estimate it to cost around 200 dollars.

Buy the Orange Box and get it packaged with Halflife and Portal. TF2 is good, but its even better when you get a pile of great games.

On the xbox? Hellllll no. While great on the Orange Box, TF2 one the xbox is a rather empty place, you won't find ranked matches and most player matches are filled with modders. The PC version is well worth the money and you end up with a much more satisfying experience.

What everyone else has said, though if you don't have any interest in or have played HL2/Portal it's still definitely worth your 20$. It's probably one of the best online shooters ever.

It's definitely worth your time. Whether it's worth 20 dollars is up to you to decide. Some people paid 60 dollars for Modern Warfare 2, which is hilarious and totally out of place.

So yeah, I got it for 10 dollars; some people got it for 5. Buy it with the Orange Box, and you won't have to worry about that because it gets grouped with 2 other great games for a cheap price.

If you don't mind the constant, endless, and mindless back-and-forth gameplay, if you not knowing the characters or the motivation behind the conflict, so basically if you don't care at all about narrative in a game with shooter mechanics, then yes I'd imagine you'd find it quite worth the money.

It's sort of like the endless Southshore/Tarren Mill battles back in Vanilla WoW before battlegrounds were released, but with guns. If you get joy out of mindless killing over and over and being killed over and over without reward or incentive other than the experience of it, yes I'd imagine you'd like it quite a lot.

If you need a deeper experience out of your games, I suggest looking elsewhere. Though of course if you buy the orange box, you get just that with Portal and Half Life 2 So I guess it all works out.

This. Personally I'd rather play CSS over tf2 anyday if I wanted a mindless shooter
