Telltale's picked up the mantle of an entire genre (point-and-click adventures) that was otherwise deader than Achmed the Dead Terrorist and brought it back to life, even managing to make a profitable company out of the deal. I don't see what's evil about that at all. I mean, it's not like they're Bethesda, essentially making you pay for Fallout 3 twice, $49.95 for the game and another $49.95 for five pieces of DLC that together don't equal one fifty-dollar game.
That. In a world of ultra-violent action games set in dank worlds, Tell-Tale create bright, bold games that require patience and thought to solve the admittedly easy puzzles. They're the most prolific adventure game developer at the moment, while showing the games industry episodic gaming done right. Their games themselves aren't revolutionary, but they're solid, accessible and hopefully reviving interest in a genre that's been on life-support since Grim Fandango came out.

All game companies are like Google, Wal-Mart, Cooper's Foods and the Escapist Magazine dot com. They're businesses, and their highest priority is making money for their shareholders and employees.

I've only played 4 of the SBCG4AP games and I had fun with them, but the only reason I had fun with them is because I'm a long time fan of Homestar Runner. It's not a bad series, it's just you can't enjoy it if you're not a fan because of all the inside jokes in the writing.

I think Telltale is one of the best things that has happened to the video game industry recently. I am always eagerly awaiting every new episode of Sam & Max, Strong Bad and now Tales of Monkey Island and I love every single one of them. Besides that, Telltale's games also got me interested in the classic LucasArts adventures and made me a big fan of the whole genre.

Telltale = Small compnay that does its best to keep old classics alive.
Not evil

Activison = Mega company that is currently being a dick on so so so mnay levels its hard to describe
Maybe Evil

No compnay is evil unless they start cosplaying virgins and burning them at the stake for being witches.

This
(though i'd put EA on the same level as activision)

games you don't like =/= company is evil
it's very much possible for a company you hate to make good games and vice versa.

Personally i think the Telltale games are brilliant anyway, maybe some of you just don't like the particular type of humour/game that much?
