Poll: Is the AVGN immature?

To be honest, I do watch his stuff. It can be pretty funny sometimes, but I really only care about the game he's "reviewing". The cussing - meh. It's really not that funny.

I watch zero punctuation too, but that's a given for pretty much every escapist.

What kind of game comedy do you watch? Mega64? Screwattack? Anything? Tell me.

Also, if you recommend something in particular, please, link!

FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO ARE NOT AWARE:

AVGN is short for "the Angry Video Game Nerd". It's a series of online reviews of retro games and consoles starring "the fucking nerd". (not a nerd that actually takes part in the act of coitus, that does nay exist)
He usually "reviews" games well known for their crap-factor, be that glitches, horrible design or ridiculous difficulty. After a strong-worded review, he usually goes on with rants about excrements or fecal matter in general, coupled with references to highly questionable romantic actions or behaviour. I watch and sometimes it does get immature. Really more into the games he's reviewing then the humor which is a bit hit and miss for me...

I'll admit I've never seen any of his stuff before, I decided to try watch that video and made it 2 minutes before closing it.

Is swearing his gimmick or something? How the hell is this guy so popular? There really isn't anything positive to say about it.

Back when it was new and he was just the Angry Nintendo Nerd, it was funny to watch him freak out and complain about things like the Jekyl and Hide game, or the NES ninja turtles game, because it mirrored my feelings about it back when I was a kid, and reaffirmed the feeling of "oh good, it's not just me then!"
Haven't really looked at it in a long time because I saw it getting old fast (to me anyway).

Yes, it's immature. I don't find fecalistic humour and non-stop swearing funny.

he's also beginning to implement more meaningful jokes AND the stuff he's talking about is incredibly interesting.

I don't really like the AVGN series. It's a bit too vulgar for my tastes. On the other hand, I really like plenty of James Rolfe's (that's the AVGN when he's out of character) other stuff. His reviews are good and entertaining and, well, that's it. His reviews are nice and entertaining.

I Used to like its stuff, but its very repetitive

I also used to watch screwattack vids until their website got too confusing to use (seriously, wtf)

And I do watch the occasional mega 64

There are others, one I can mention is sanity not included (brilliant show)

I watch it whenever a new episode comes out and I don't really mind the swearing MOST of the time but when he had... "shit pickle" I just didn't care enough to watch the whole video.

Its one of those things where you know what to expect, so enjoy it. Yeah its a bit immature, but sometimes his combo of curse words is so strange I get a few chuckles. Plus I just like watching the simple review / hatred of the games he plays. I dunno. I like it.

I don't really mind AVGN, his reviews are cool and he does give credit to games... sometimes

It can be a bit vulgar when it goes OTT (e.g. when diarrhoea gets involved...), but other than that its pretty fun
