Poll: Is the Resident Evil series still trying to be scary with Resident Evil 5

The first three were "Near unkillable thing, you have nothing" and 4 was "God, what's gonna come round the corner" scary but RE5 was just an action game.

I don't think they really were trying to be that scary in RE5.

This thread is nearly a year old. Was it necessary to necro it to say something everyone's already figured out? You know, what with the game having been released and all.

I would say yes. It's quite terrifying being chased by a chainsaw-wielding, sack headed zombie-thing when you've only got 2ft of room to move around in.

I still don't know why I havn't gotten the wii edition yet.

Completely off-topic: the wii edition is shit.
Any difficulty the game had is ruined by replacing the laser sight with a massive target indicator.(if this isn't your first wii game, there's no reason to ever go under 95% accuracy when only aiming for the heads of enemies)

Now, back On-topic: Resident Evil dropped the "I'm alone with five bullets" horror and went for a "What the hell did they do with those people" horror.
