*Warning, quite long! Bare with me!*
*SKIP TO PARAGRAPH FOUR TO JUST HEAR THE QUESTION!*
So i was playing Minecraft right... I ventured far from my home (Which is near my respawn point) in search of clay & other goodies, but mostly clay. So i bought a bed a shovel and some other little materials i may need, so i harvested all the clay i could carry and i was set to go home and build my brick genitals. (Don't ask)
Now, it took me about 3 in-game days to get to that area, every night i slept by digging a 3 block ditch in the ground, jump in it, put a block on top to cover it and place a torch dig a bit around the area where i originally jumped in so i could place my bed, then hit the sac. Little did i know there is a glitch in where if there is only one space above your character (See poorly made diagram below) when he wakes up, he will stand on top of the bed, and get his head caught in the block on top of him, therefore causing him to suffocate, (I don't get how that works) die, and lose all the item's i ventured out there for. Even if i went back it would probably have already been gone (Item's go away after 5 minutes) though if by some miracle they didn't i wouldn't be able to find the place because i dug a hole, shoved myself in it, and closed it on top. It would look like everything else!
So what i did after experiencing the initial shock and anger was download INVEDIT, an inventory editing software (If you didn't get the hint) and put back all the items i lost, including armor, clay, bed, weapons, ETC. I didn't smear anything, i put back only the items i had. I didn't swap my Iron Armor for Diamond just what i had i put back. So my question to you my fellow escapists is this...
Is it cheating if you use a inventory editing program to get back the items (and only the items) you lost because of a glitch?
