I used to imagine it was a ninja, jumping from car to lamp post and so on...
I am shocked that there are others... :D

I usually imagine a ninja, or a parkour expert. Being awesome and leaping between all the scenery. It's cool.

Actually, yes. Now that I think of it, I usually envision the person as a stereotypically dressed black clad ninja, doing that overdramatic super fast ninja run.
Now that I think deeper, he looks more like Noob Saibot than a stereotypical ninja. However, that could probably just be my imagination, as I'm really addicted to the new Mortal Kombat right now.

I think that's sort of weird. I usually let my mind wander when on a long trip but I don't really think about something like that.

I use to do it all the time when I was young...

Now however, I have many distractions to keep me occupied from looking out the window...

Something I have been wondering is if on a long road-trip do you imagine a being running beside you as you drive? Or is this just a weird habit? If so, What do you imagine?

I do it all the time when on buses and the such to prevent boredom, I tend to imagine a skateboarder because it used to be one of my hobbies.
i do something similar. i imagine a t-rex charging at the bus from the side, knocking it over, and breaking through glass trying to eat those inside. sometimes i fall asleep during this and wake with a scream. fun for everyone!

That seems to be one of the weird things I DON'T do.

I am however constantly discussing with myself while driving (in my head I mean), arguing different points and often even getting pissed off at myself.
I know it's weird. You do it too.

I imagine swinging and jumping between lamp-posts.

I also imagine the car flipping up onto two wheels to avoid touching the shadows on the ground. I'm not really sure why...

Yeh I used to do that. Except it was more like a ninja jumping between the cars than a skateboarder.

Actually, I imagine a sport that involves a heavily greased/lubricated solid steel (or other durable metal) snowboard, and a toe rope. If you can't figure anything to do with that, then you are lame and don't get the triple multiplier for using a sharpened edge to decapitate a bus full of nuns while you triple black flip 720 to bs boardslide on a divider.

A lot. I usually imagine it jumping over the obstacles we pass, or jumping from high point to high point. It's very entertaining.
I was surprised the first time I found out how many people did this.

I often also imagine some kind of laser beam coming from the car and following the ground, moving with the contours of the terrain.
Yeah, absolutely this. I did it for a solid ten years until I began driving. Now I'm rarely a passenger in someone else's vehicle, so it's not really applicable to me.
this. I love to drive and I almost do it everywhere among my friends since im designated drunk driver when we do go somewhere, so usually I dont have the luxury of doing parkour races in my head.

still, on the offchance that i do, i usually do something of the sort, or when im driving i always turn it into races, i make "YEEEUUURRRRRR" sounds when passing people.

Hey, I used to do that when I was a kid!
I was way into Prince of Persia and Zelda, and used to imagine the two running alongside.
The prince would use his acrobatic skills to keep up, while Link would use hookshots, surf on his shield, and catch wind with his little wand that changed the wind. No, I don't remember what that's called.

Yeah, I used to get crazy-bored in the car...

Wait; you mean there isn't actually some one running alongside the vehicle? There goes my only friend. T_T
