YES! FINALLY A REASON TO TELL ANYONE THIS!
All my life I've done the same thing whenever driving for more than a few hours: Watching as the lines in the street and on the sides disappear below the windshield and, this is the thing, aligning my feet with them.
Alright, that sounds strange. I'll explain.
This is the road you're driving on:
Now, youre sitting shotgun. (For this example, we're in a country with right-hand traffic)
Your right foot is the white line on the right side of the road. Whenever this line "touches" the bottom of the windshield, keep the right foot pressed down. As soon as it disappears (is cut up into pieces or there is a side road of any kind or anything) lift your right foot.
Your left foot, however, can be split into two parts. Your left foot are any line(s) in the middle of the road. This means that you lift and push down your foot to "hit" the most common, white lines, BUT when they split, like on the picture, the RIGHT SIDE of your LEFT FOOT is the RIGHT MIDDLE LINE, and the LEFT SIDE is the LEFT MIDDLE LINE.
To try to make this clearer, look at the picture again. In this particular situation, your right foot is pressed firmly down. The right part of your left foot is pressed down as much as possible as well, whereas the left side of your left foot is skipping along on the white lines.
I dont know why, but Ive done this for as long as I can remember. Before anyone had even heard thought of Guitar Hero.
