Ok here's how you end up paying for wal-mart in the long run even though you might not shop there: subsidies. Yes, subsidies. People that work at wal-mart make on average, 15k a year. Wal-mart employees along with other minimum wage hirers such as McDonalds actually tell their employees to sign up for government aide. This means, while you might be saving money on your mouthwash and beer when you pay for it, your taxes are actually higher because of all the money the government sends to these people, which is still probably not nearly enough. So while you think there might be this "free market" that allows for wages to set themselves (which if it were allowed to do so would be as close to 0 as humanly possible) the government is behind the scenes spending your tax money on helping these people because capitalism won't.
