Well im thinking about getting it... but you have to pay for a subscription or something and i get addicted to games really easily butive never played it so i guess im asking... is it any good?
If that's the case then you should stay far far away. It's a polished game but extremely repetitive and lacks any real choice especially at endgame. Leveling is fun, but as soon as you reach endgame everything you know about the game fails you. Endgame is practically a different game where now your forced to raid with at least 10 people to get anything done, compared to the 80 levels of soloing. You'll have one choice as to which raid you'll run (the latest one as they obsolete the previous raids of the same expansion) and quickly get bored as you'll just end up playing the heroic version (it has more hps and does more damage) of the raid. The best raid of the current expansion (Uldaur), you'll never see as no one runs it anymore unless its the second boss of the week.sanchez taco said:Well im thinking about getting it... but you have to pay for a subscription or something and i get addicted to games really easily butive never played it so i guess im asking... is it any good?
too long DNR except the start and end btw if i do ill ... "Hit you up?"andrew21 said:People certainly do like to over react to WoW don't they. As a person who has been playing on and off for a few years now I can say it is most defiantly worth it. I don't care what people say it is not "Grinding" you never have to kill a bunch of enemies just get to the next lvl all you have to do is quest and maybe dungeons if the ones you can do aren't too long. I would like to disagree with Timotei and say that the more often you play it the more boring it can get. When I played the game for a large amount of time on end I found myself unable to stay on one guy for a while. As towards you addiction problem you can easily set up a parental control lock. This would make it so you can only play during certain times or for a certain amount. As well if you are enjoying yourself while playing the game does it really matter you aren't doing anything else? (as long as it isn't something RL important) Now to address tehroc. Obviously he has no idea what he is talking about. His points are based off semi-valid points. Once you hit 80 a whole new world opens up to you. At this point you can start having some real fun doing PvP and raiding. There are so many point I can pick apart in his comment I am not going to bother. I will say though a big down side of the game is that unless you get into a fun guild that either A) Does raids or B) is very social I doubt you will have much fun at 80. But that is just my own opinion. The trial is a great way to see if you like the game with its mechanics but the best part about it is the community which you aren't really able to explore in the trial. I know this is all kinda random mashed point but I am to tired to go back and edit all this. I hope this all helped and if you do decide to start playing hit me up.
TL;DR It is a good game get it

I've never subscribed to it, but my brother's whole family plays it, and I tried it out for a while. I must say it wasn't horrid but I didn't find it wildly interesting. You can get basically the same experience for free by downloading one of the free-to-play MMOs and they're all basically the same gameplay - get quest, go to point x, kill things until you collect y amount of item z, then come back, hand in quest, get new quest, etc... playable enough I suppose but it doesn't really capture my imagination. I've heard the endgame in WOW is quite different, but I couldn't be bothered trudging through 80 levels of "go to x and get y amount of z" to find out. If it's so great, why they can't just give people that endgame experience at the start I don't know.sanchez taco said:is it any good?
