Our car is a '91 Holden Commodore VN station wagon, which we've had for roughly the last 13 years, and it's been pretty damn reliable (only needed something beyond maintenance once every year or two). We originally got it when there were 3-5 of us (mum, brother, and me year-round + grand parents staying in the summers) and we did a lot of long-distance driving (once drove across Australia with most of our belongings), but since now it's just mum and myself and we only drive around town, we'll be replacing it with something smaller soon.

I drive a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee, only minor issues. But I also dive a 1969 MG B. That car has ad 0 problems since I started driving it.

My car is a 1991 Honda Civic. Ive only had it for a couple of months, but I have had no problems with it. The fact that have seen a lot of the same model around where I live is reassuring.

Where is the 'mostly' option? I have a 95 Ford Escourt and while it needs tires and I just (as in, last week) replaced my ignition switch. It's never broken down on me and while the tires are bad, I haven't had a blowout yet. My car has held out well over the years though admittedly, it's only been mine since November; before then it was my step-dad's who had to replace the battery once. My big test is going to be in the first weekend of June when I take it about 600 miles when I move. So, fingers crossed!

'05 Suzuki Swift. Now that the clutch has been replaced, works perfectly. It looks like it'll keep me running until I decide to buy new for a change. :p

Considering the fact that it's in the junkyard because it bursted into flames while I was on the Highway due to a factory imperfection, I'm going with Hell NO!
What are you driving so I know what to stay away from :p

Peugeot 306 estate, 2.0 HDi. Bought as an insurance write off for £350 quid, sunk an extra 300 into repairing it and besides servicing, hasn't needed a thing doing to it.

Not bad for 12 years old and 150,000 miles, especially as the last 40k have been done in just a year and a half.

As for my next car, I'm going japanese if I can or getting a Ford Mondeo, depending on my bank and whats available :)

Added that option. Good luck on the 600 mile move. Certainly will be a thorough test.

I recently just got a peugeot 206 for £700, worked great for 2 month (about 3k miles), i suspected the clutch and head gasket needed doing, first the clutch went, then the head gasket (£750 in repairs total), and it broke down twice the week after the head gasket, both easy fixes (total in repairs now £800), since then i've put on a further 2k and it's still running sweet.

Not bad for a 2001 car on 109k, i've basically paid (inc the repairs) what i would have for one if i didn't win it at the auctions, hell ive seen some going for 2k in worse condition than mine (bodywork wise, mines fairly spotless).

2011 Chevy Cruze, so yes. It's also under warranty so just in case something DOES break, I don't have to pay out of pocket to get it fixed.

2010 Suberu Impreza. Considering it's only a year old (Had it since late January last year, brand new) and have to pay through the nose to get it serviced at the dealer to keep my warranty, I will be... Displeased, to say the last if I have any problems.

1999 Ford Explorer, I don't really remember what was wrong with that batch but apparently bursting into flames is a common problem with those things.

2001 Pontiac Grand Am. I have only had it for a short period of time, but so far it has been OK. There was a rim leak in one of the tires but I am pretty sure that was my sisters fault (she owned it before me) and one of the internal fan control knobs broke but I got a new one off e-bay for $10 Otherwise it has been great.

Your poll had the exact words I was gonna use. Hell no!

It's a 1993 Vauxhal Corsa Merit with more problems than a maths exam. And it's been even worse since I leant it to my brother.

2007 Honda City extremely reliable. It was the only one of three cars in a group outing that survived a storm unharmed(the others were a Toyota Platz and a Honda Civic 2009).
My advice is get a Honda or Toyota. Top Gear tried to destroy a Toyota Pickup and it just would not die and it still proudly decorates their set.

Don't have one.
Why isn't that the option.

Yes. I can always rely on my car to not exist.
Me too, so far, guess sometime in the adulthood when I have the finances I might get one.
