In regards to the PS2 to 360 switch- That's exactly what I did, though I just recently got a PS3. For a while though, I had to sit on the side-lines while everyone else got to enjoy MGS 4.

I switched from PS2 to 360 and a Wii. (The Wii is mostly for my girlfriend, I don't use it that much, but I still own one.)

I went from cube to 360. Cube was similar to PS2 and Xbox.

I'll put playstation to Xbox because I did have a PS2 before a 360 although I didn't really play it.

Should we really considor the Wii to be a next generation console? I think my old xbox had better performance than that thing.

I've always stuck with Sony and the Playstation, under the belief I could just kick over my pc tower draw an x on it and call it an X-box. Rather apt considering a lot of the x-box games have been or are going to be ported to the PC.

The only thing I'm really missing is a bunch of prepubescent kids calling me a fag.

I went from PS2 to PC, partly because a lot of consoles games are being ported for the next couple years (happens every new generation) and partly because its cheaper for me to upgrade my GFX card once every 5 years than it is to buy a new console.

I planned that myself, but my shitty stock computer has an AGP slot for graphics, so that kinda put a spanner in things. Next PC I get, I'm going to a shop that builds what you want.

Oh, and I went from PS2 to Xbox 360. I got an Xbox when the Xbox 360 came out, so I played, and enjoyed Microsoft's selection. Thus, the successor was my choice. That, and not many of the games on the PS3 interested me.

I had all of the consoles from the previous generation, and once the PS3 gets a little cheaper, I'll all of them from this generation as well.
