From N64, to Playstation 2, then got a Gamecube as well, then a Wii, then a 360. I had PCs until the Playstation 2, then got another one around the same time as the Gamecube.

I actually bought 3 PS2s, because I'd never turn the damn things off when I'd finished with them, and they'd just burn out. One of the things I like about my XBox is that while I can't hear the fans while I'm playing it, when the TV's turned off, it's so loud, I never forget to turn it off.

I'll buy a PS3 when the price comes down, or I get a good enough reason to get one. I was hoping that backwards compatibility would be that reason, as my PS2 is very choosy about what it will and will not play nowadays, but since they've announced the new 80Gb version without it, and I'm not paying for an old 60Gb one, I'll have to wait for another reason.

I've run the gamut, though have never bought a MS console. I figure I play enough games in XP that I might have well bought 10 XBOXs.

My 'next gen' is the PS3, after my PS2, which followed my game cube, which followed my beloved Dreamcast. (Not to mention the SNES, Genesis, NES, 7800 ad 2600...)

I bought the PS3 on potential, though I don't think the XBOX 360 and PS3 will ever be that far apart. But given the trend in gaming, I though the capacity of the Blu-Ray and the potential of the Cell processor was enough for me to lean towards the PS3.

However, I don't think that exclusivity will benefit anyone, and I'm glad to see games that were once console exclusives moving to other systems. If only Mario and Zelda would come to the PS3 and 360!

Always been on the sony wagon. I'd prob buy and xbox 360 as well if I had the cash, but then again, there arent really any xbox exclusive titles I give a damn about. Halo's big steaming donkey dung, so's gears of war (both of which i've played on anyway.) Lovin the ps3, she's one grunty mofo

Where is the Nintendo option?
Even though i have a nintendo wii aswell i want to see how people have moved across similar consoles if you see what i mean?
I went from cube to 360. Cube was similar to PS2 and Xbox.
Neat, me too. Had to have a 'Cube, my life would be so much less meaningful had I been denied Metroid Prime, that would go on my list of best games ever. LoZ: Wind Waker, SSB Melee, Mario Kart: DD, and LoZ: Twilight Princess were awesome too, and Star Fox Adventures: Dinosaur Planet as well (right up to the retarded "Test of Strength" and afterwards).

I Flip flopped around a lot but I never was a "brand loyalist" - just got the systems, but not all at once.

Never had an Xbox and so far I won't be getting one so I guess I've been sony and nintendo, and then PC (guesss that counts as MS).

EDIT: OH yeah, and SEGA too. Man, it's like I own everything except the two Xbox's, a DS, and PSP.

Me: Playstation> Playstation 2> Playstation 3.

Yes you can call me a Sony fanboy but then look at my name.

Yeah I started off with the Playstation (and N64), then got a PS2, then moved to next-gen with the 360. With plenty of PC gaming through it all, of course.

I had a PS2, then got an XBox later about the time Halo 2 came out. This gen I bought a 360 in 2006 (after spending two years being very excited about the PS3 then ultimately deciding the 360 was the better option), and picked up a Wii at launch. I'm yet to buy a PS3 though my fiancee wants to; sometimes when we go out shopping she considers it, so I challenge her to go find five titles for the PS3 worth buying that we can't buy for the 360. She always comes back empty-handed.

Don't want to insult your fiancee and since text is a bad way to communicate you could either read this as an insult or a joke, but she needs to look harder >_> -and hell buying a system for 5 games is a bad idea, especially since the system has a bunch of other uses.

Maybe she'll find some next yer, the lineup looks good.
