Well living in Florida for most my life I think my body has adapted to hot weather. It can be 35C outside and I'm barely breaking a sweat. But make it -5C and I'm the guy wearing 8 feet of jackets on.

Living in England... I prefer to be cold.
Summer can become unbearably hot and I find that the sweltering heat can really mess up my status quo, sapping me of all energy and motivation... plus it really messes up my sleep pattern, since I sleep during the day to avoid the hottest period and only become active (i.e. wake up) during the evening/night/early morning when it's coolest. When you have a low tolerance to heat like I do, your siesta last for longer periods of time.
However, I do like it when it gets cold, when the air is crisp and you can see your breath. Yes, it can sometimes be uncomfortably cold, which makes wrapping up in warm clothes, having a warm bath or getting snug in your bed even more enjoyable.
It's much easier for me to combat excessive cold than it is for me to cool down if I'm too hot.

Since it's been hot i havn't been able to sleep at all, well maybe an hour or two per night.

I always find it easier to warm myself up then cool myself down so i guess i would rather the earth froze and went into an ice age then the rivers boil and the earth goes up in flames......
Maybe it's because I grew up in a place that has 4-5 months of winter every year, but when the sun is out, it's time to load up some beer and head to the beach.
Id rather be cold, its easier to warm up since you can always put more blankets on, where as when your hot you can only take so much offTips_of_Fingers said:

I actually like the cold, but I HATE this temperature that England's having at the moment, mainly because we still have to wear long black trousers and blazers because the god damn headmistress won't call it summer uniform.
Cold it is. If you're too cold you can just put on more blankets or clothes or even rub up against a machine that has been running for a long time in order to get more heat. If you're too hot then what are you gonna do, take your underwear off? What if you're in public? No one ever gives anyone a dirty look for putting an extra jacket on. Also, If you're too hot you sweat and personally that can make me really uncomfortable.
btw I am a Canadian, but I'm not biased about this. I live in Winnipeg, where it gets really fucking cold in the winter and really fucking hot in the summer, and personally, I prefer the cold.

Well, I live in the south, so yeah, our winters are weak, but the people up the top of Scotland might not be too pleased to hear their winters written off so easilyTips_of_Fingers said:

Sadly it's not a choice I can make, as the Seasons here tend to pick one extreme or the other.
