But if you're pretending they're a woman, how could that be gay?

easy rule of thumb: it's not gay if it's Sean Connery. It's not gay if it's Jason Stathem, it's never gay if it's Adrian Brody.

Just remember those tips kids . . .

oh and for ladies, it's not ever gay if it's Angelina Jole, Jessica Alba, Natalie Portman, etc.

A lot of people are SERIOUSLY misinterpreting the question. Case in point:

Getting a blowjob from a man doesn't turn you gay.
This is not what the OC is implying, although I see your error in thinking and don't blame you.

This question is a matter of 'stimulation', not 'attraction'. It's the same concept as 'if you enjoy jerking off with your own hand, does that mean that you're gay?' only taken to the next level. It's an interesting concept and to be honest, I don't really know the answer.

If a man tried to jerk me off, I'd be feel immensely uncomfortable with the situation and wouldn't be able to maintain an erection. However, if I was blindfolded and under the impression that it was a woman, the situation would probably be different and my body and brain would react accordingly.

I think knowing it was a guy would put me off. If I was blindfolded and completely unaware it was a guy from the start, then I guess. Sure it'd feel basically the same. But that would be because I thought it was a woman, so I wouldn't think what I was enjoying was a homosexual experience.

If you like it because your getting a blowjob then no your not gay. If you enjoy because of the gender of the person your getting a blowjob from that would make you gay.

I think the more pressing question is, 'Why does it matter?'

I seriously cannot wait for the day when sexuality isn't constantly having to be defined and people don't need to be pigeon-holed for every aspect of their character; when who you like to have sex with can be as mundane a decision as what brand of coke you prefer.

The act itself would be gay, but you can in fact do sexual things with the same gender and not identify as gay so hooray! Another example: You can wear a Kimono, which is Japanese clothing, but that doesn't make you Japanese. Another another example: Asexual people can and do have sex with their partners because the partners want to, but that doesn't make them any less asexual.

Of course, there's nothing wrong with being bisexual. Lots easier to explain.

It's quite gay. Very gay. But that's okay. You don't have to hide from us; we'll still love you. Just come out and admit it, krazykid. We already know and we don't judge you for it.
You're not being serious, I hope. Clearly you can see to gain pleasure from a source invisible an unbeknownst to you (that is the pleasure-giver) and to enjoy it, would be purely to enjoy the sensation, not the giver.

Example: MASTURBATING!! Technically, you're getting your dick stroked by a man. Is it gay? No. You could hate yourself and still masturbate. That doesn't mean you're attracted to yourself, that just means you're enjoying the sensation.

So no, it's not gay at all. If I knew I was getting a blowjob from a man I'd have everything against the idea, but if I was blissfully unaware (which I would not be, being unaware of where a sensation is coming from is scary), what's the harm in enjoying it?

If a lesbian is raped my a man, her genitals may feel nice, but she will not like it very much, because she does not like the pleasure-giver. It's all about consent and awareness. If there's no awareness, but consent, it's not gay, but if there's awareness and consent, that is your sexuality, if you are aware and not consenting, you are not of that sexuality.

I see no grey area at all. I think the issue is people are just indecisive and sometimes sexually flexible.

EDIT: Also an issue is presented in the quoted poster, if they are being serious. People often like to decide for themselves what people's sexuality are. It's like if somebody calls a little girl cute, some dirty individuals will instantly think "pedo", just like if somebody considers that the physical sensation of being given a blowjob from a man, while not actually being gay, would feel nice, people like to say "lol, ur gai." It's people like the OP, rightfully defending their sexuality and people giggling in the corner that causes these grey areas. Sexuality is an uncomfortable subject in today's society. Everyone's really awkward about it, and the people egging them on don't help.

It's like if you try to defend yourself after being accused of being a dick, people might say "Now you just don't want people to think you're a dick!" What would you expect the person to do, sit and take their name being tarnished by the accusation, which can spread a false rumour, being accused of being something they're not? It's the same in this argument.

The obvious answer is that I'm not being serious at all, which is something that should have easily been picked up on, but then again I forget that most people are unaware of /d/ humor and that people on the internet like to take things so literally.

The long and short of is, if you're getting sucked off by a man, know it's a man, and are still enjoying it, you're at least a little gay.

If you're blindfolded and have no way to tell it's a man, or if you know it's a man but aren't enjoying it beyond the immediate physical sensation, then no, you're not gay.

... it doesn't involve two people of the same gender.

That's really it. The question isn't determining what is or isn't gay, the question is how each individual's sexual preferences can be cataloged. And it's not just a simple "hetero or homo" dichotomy. I identify as heterosexual because I am primarily attracted to women, to the point of having no sexual desires for men. Yet that doesn't mean I can't find other men attractive, or that the idea of me being pleased by a sexual encounter with a man is so impossible.

Oops, sorry about that. I was doubting my judgement, though, I never said any-ting bout'cha for sure.

But on the bright side...one more to our post counts! :D A shallow victory!

Not only is it gay, but it also turns you gay. How else do you think the homosexuals convert our young'uns to their gay lifestyle with their gay agenda?

Yes, that's a poe.

You know, I've heard this same exact argument before. If I was unable to identify the sex of the person (being blindfolded or in a dark room) it wouldn't matter.

My reply?
If I was getting a blowjob from a person and didn't know who it was, I'd be pretty freaked out, wondering who was performing fellatio on me. That's a seriously messed up situation to describe. And I wouldn't volunteer for that sort of thing. I kinda like to know my partner.

Does it make you gay? Not really. But it is a homosexual sex act you are partaking in. And not something I would feel comfortable with. Besides, you'd be kinda lying to the other person.
