Because if we manage to destroy ourselves, the Earth will rebuild in time (maybe 1-2 million years, but that isn't that much).
Anyway, I think humanity won't kill itself. Probably, we'll even find a way to leave this planet and discover space.

Well it's already obvious the end of the world AS WE KNOW IT will be environmental from climate change. You can already see it happening now. In 20 years the poles will be almost fully melted. There will be mass migration, famon, floods, violent storms which will destroy towns & cities.

THese threads do bore me so, the world has sat around and survived ice ages and volcanic death clouds. I severly doubt that its gonna kick the ol' bucket because some hippes, marksists and religious dudes think that people are feeling too happy.
I don't believe that the world is going to end anytime soon. If it were to end in the future though, It would be a result of the stupidity of man. Most likely in the form of a nuclear war.
