Meh I wasn't impressed. Not because of the game itself or the way it played. I am just not a fan of the whole fuedal Japan setting. BG and Kotor were far superior to me because I saw Star Wars when I was 5 and it shaped my childhood and BG because I luv me some D&D.
oh well to each his own

i still think it had the best plot twist ever... it made me go wtf and stare at my pc for a while... and yeah i liked the setting a lot... which isnt a selling point to u oh wells... love me some D&D too IWD2 is still my favourite dungeon crawler... you basically played nameless heroes who try and save the world and along the way u kill a lot of stuff...ftw!!
Huh maybe I never gave it enough time. It has a good story you say? That is a huge selling point for me. I still own it technically (I bought it off of XBL) one of these days I should redownload it and give it another chance. Well once they slow down on releasing all these gazillion hour rpgs and give me a chance to get caught up.
fortunately/ unfortunately the game is one of their shortest 20+hours? maybe less 2nd playthrough in 10+? The story standing on its own merit is good not incredible but it has an incredible plot twist... this seemed to be their philosophy back in the KOTOR-Jade Empire period... make an awesome plot twist
the only down side i'll say is that the battle system is very simple...if u can ignore that and get through the story you'll be rewarded i say...
its a shame you couldnt get into the setting though its very magical indeed..however it suffers from bioware's mentality at the time (seemingly so)... make an awesome plot twist...define the world cleary the small details can sort itself out... in the more recent installments if you notice its all about the small things...
i get what u mean i have like 40 hrs on dragon age and ive not even entered the dwaren dungeon..stopped playing over the holidays
