Given only the options presented, Jedi every time.

Jedi, light, dark, and grey, are all disciplined fighters in tune with themselves and the universe. There are some characters within that category I would not choose to be like, but they're the exception, rather than the norm.

With superheros, for every genuinely admirable one out there, there are three pathetic pansies that don't deserve a fraction of their power.

I'll pick superhero if for no other reason than avoiding having to live a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away.

A lot rules and restrictions on being a Jedi. But! A Superhero with mental powers and a gadget (Jean Grey with light sabers ... hell, she even comes back from the dead) could be the same thing... Much more "power" selection with superheroes, and snappy dressers (not always spandex ... but i do look good with a luchador mask).

With the exception of plot broken superheroes (Superman, X-Man, Phoenix Force...) that even the writers know are poorly written, the average superhero has one or two powers and usually a weakness (Except Batman but that's because they needed to balance him with people who can literally move planets.) Jedi have super speed, strength, and reflexes; telepathy; telekinesis; precognition; and random extra powers like energy shielding, lightning, healing, and other miscellaneous utility powers.

Force user all the way (I don't hold to a single dogmatic viewpoint so I'm more likely to be like Kyle Katarn and usually ignore the Order and do what I want.)

That's why you pick an awesome hero like Magneto or Dr Manhattan and not say the Riddler or Jubilee ;D

Superhero, snazzier threads, no stupid vow of celibacy/non-attachment, as long as you're cool you won't stay dead for long, eternal youth, and some slammin' superpowers.
And if all else fails you can just be an anti-hero.

If I get to pick my superpowers, at any power level I please (saaaaay, Unearthly endurance, reason, intuition and psyche with Incredible fighting, strength and agility... then maybe toss in Amazing healing factor, flight, and electrical manipulation on the Marvel Universe RPG FASERIP system)... then I'd choose superhero. Force sensitivity really doesn't stack up against that.
But if I only get to be a human superhero (such as the Punisher... or worse, Kick-ass), or a mutant with a massive drawback to their only power (such as Rogue of the X-Men)... then the Jedi option is lookin' pretty damn good.

Star Wars wasn't really anything I was overly informative about until I was into my 20s. I was too busy reading comics and watching the early 90s x-men cartoon. But Jedi's are just way too cool not to pick.

Whats all this about Jedi's and celibacy? People realize theres an entire massive book series roughly covering thousands of years right? Seems odd that almost everyone hated the prequels but is happy to make choices based on info from them.

Considering the fact that being a Jedi comes with the assurance of an afterlife and even possible ghostliness for special occasions, I think the answer is obvious.

However, it would have to be post-Anakin Jedi. Because he taught everyone that love was okay, so long as you don't get angry and kill your wife.
