Teleportation... always the way to go, unless you have some major threat that is chasing you for it... life would be like a vacation...

definitely force. remember that scene in chronicle when they were building legos? remember lego star wars? I LAUGHED SO HARD IN THAT THEATRE, THANK GOD IT WAS EMPTY. so yeah, force powers by far. teleportation is nice, but the ability to fly would save me time on travel anyways. plus, can't see where you're teleporting to, that could be dangerous.

Force. As great as teleportation, it's a defensive only ability. Force can be used either way, and I can fly with it. I WANT TO FLY. That is merely a less efficient version of teleportation.

Although Teleporting would allow for more money quicker, Force is a better investment as you can grow your power.

Sure I could make all cargo-ships world wide redundant and earn a killing almost instantly from when I get my powers. But that doesn't sound too fun. Tricking humanity into thinking I am God by parting seas and making it rain frogs (provided I can find enough of said frogs), now that sounds fun!

Teleport. Because you can TELEPORT.

Yes, telekinesis is awesome. But it has less help in mundane situations: you can always use a teleport.

i'm thinking telekinesis on this one. i'm sort of an introvert so going places all the time doesn't really interest me, having snacks fly to my room appeals to me greatly tho.

Dammit, this is killing me! I've always loved the idea of teleportation, but with the all the things said about telekinesis, Ive grown a bit wary. Telekinesis is really catching on with me. But all this talk has caused me to formed a few other thoughts about teleportation in my head. And yes, I know you're trying to run on the movie's logic, but I want to ignore that for a few moments.

For example, why not teleport other objects? I mean, you can instantaneously change your own location at any moment, why not a soda a can a few inches away from you? With Jumper's logic, you kinda have to memorize the location, but perhaps you could develop your skills so that it could be that specific object and location. Which brings me to a minor gripe, why is it believed that telekinesis can be honed and developed upon, but teleportation can't? You're somehow bending the very fabric of space, I'm pretty sure you can develop it. Perhaps control the speed of the teleportation, the form of it, etc. There are probably a ton of things I'm not thinking about.

Teleport. Teleport without a second of hesitation, especially if it's like Jumper and I can teleport objects around me.

I'd do pretty much exactly what the protagonist of Jumper did, except if anyone tried to stop me by following where I teleported, I'd warped above and ocean and let them taste water-based death.

Telekinetic powers are amazing and all, but there is not a single situation I can think of where I couldn't get out of it by running away and throwing money at the problem.

If it was this world, Teleport.
I would LOVE to do the awesome crap they did in that movie.

However, if I had to live in the universe, I would pick TK. Why? Well, because Samuel L Jackson hunting me 24/7 would just be a pain in the ass.

Even though "Jump" was a mediocre movie, they made the power look awesomely stylish.

Also, anyone remember "Push"? Totally continues the theme of naming super powers after more mundane verbs.

Telekinesis can be used for almost anything, including making yourself impervious to pain by creating a shield around you, thus making you pretty much invincible and free to kick the other guy's ass. Even if I'm not a fighter, now I'll never have to get up to get the damn remote. No idea how it even got over there, anyway...

Definitely going with Jumper ability, then training my kung fu skills nonstop. Imagine the bad-assery that is Bruce Lee, but with teleportaion added to the mix. Wouldn't matter what powers you have, against that combo, you're screwed.

Telekinesis definitely. Anything you can do physically, you can do with telekinesis without lifting a finger. I just think that it'd be useful in more everyday situations.

I'm going with the 'jump' ability simply because I could be pretty dangerous with telekinesis. Sure, with TK I'll be able to fly and fling stuff around, but as someone posted before, with TK, you could level up enough to crush cities with a mere thought. As someone with a mildly sadistic mindset, getting the power of the 'force' would only endanger the lives of the people around me and myself.

Also, the 'jump' power seems more practical to someone like me even though with TK I'll be stronger.

lol in the books for jumper, (yes i did read them they were pretty good too) you COULD develop your power, he even gave his power to to his wife through repeated exposure, (taking her with him for years) he could also make a "gate way" to let things "flow" through. like being at a beach in water and at the roof of a building, he could make the water flow to the roof and flood it from the top down...

i vote for jumping here =)

you could do a real number on somebody, think sword or gun...and teleport behind somebody.... or grab a person jump up really high, drop them and jump away before you hit the ground....drop them off a building catch them before impact and then drop them from the top again, and again....
