I've had some great times with my Xbox 360 and I will continue to have those great times when my old 360 is sat next to my brand new PS4.

Fuck you Microsoft, you have ruined a once good gaming platform.
You tried to turn it into an entertainment center.
You tried to turn it something it's not!
WHY CAN'T YOU JUST LOVE XBOX FOR WHAT XBOX IS??
A FUCKING GAMES CONSOLE!

That is all.

I'm one of those 360 gamers with a big-ass library, looking to have to jump ship over to Sony. The KI game is incredibly tempting, as is the idea of a new Dead Rising, and a goddamn new Swery game. But all the same, I cannot justify paying $500 for a console I don't believe in. I had put up with a lot of Microsoft's shenanigans over the last couple of years, but this where I cross the line. I will still cherish my 360 and all the incredible games I got to play on it... but it's time I moved on from this relationship, Microsoft.

I have no loyalty to any console or company seeing as I have ALL of this gen's and last gen's consoles. As much as I would love to have either the Xbox One or PS4, I seriously doubt that I, a broke university student, would have $600 by the time they release.

If anything, I'll be testing the PC gaming waters. I already have steam and finally got the beta code for A Realm Reborn: FF 14, so baby steps in that area. Now I just gotta try to get used to WASD format before trying Battle Field 3. That is, if my computer can play it.

At the moment I've got myself a 360 and a newly built PC (mid tier with next upgrade due near the end of this year) so I'll most likely go for a Wii U by the start of next year and a PS4 nearer next summer for me in all while using the PC for multiplats and the consoles for their exclusives and multiplayer (not much of a PC multiplayer kind of guy).

Right now I'm going to be going from 360 to unknown. It's still too early for me to have decided anything other than that I'm not going to be going to the Xbone.

Went from PS3/Wii to WiiU/PC this gen, and quite frankly, I think that covers my bases pretty well. 3DS has also been getting a lot of love recently. Might pick up a PS4 eventually.

I've got a PC as of now, and I think I'll grab a Wii U for the interesting ideas it brings, and because I have learned to embrace my inner child and enjoy Nintendo. =D

Don't know what I am doing console wise next gen, whatever happens I will not be buying either a PS4 or Xbone at launch. This gen the 360 and the PS3 where really unreliable, the early 360 was obviously the most unreliable this generation but the PS3 had a shockingly high failure rate too with its 10-15% RoF compared to the Wii's 2%. I will wait and see how often they explode before I get either one, avoiding the post launch drought is another reason for avoiding them at first. If the Xbone crams loads of useless Kinect features into its games I will not be getting one of those at all, same goes for if they cannot keep their services running well so it causes problems with the daily check in.

I am considering a Wii U though, depends if the games start to flow for it. Never owned any Nintendo hardware apart from the old classic 4xAA cell brick Gameboy when I was 12, I recently bought a 3DS XL though and I can see why Nintendo fans are so loyal. The games are genuinely fun and well made, they also make a change from the usual games I play. I am thinking of getting either a Wii or Wii U to try some more Nintendo first party games out. I am leaning more towards the Wii U though because of its HDMI output and despite the touch screen the game pad seems more "conventional" with its dual analogue sticks, the greater support for digital distribution makes it a bit more appealing than the Wii as well.

If the keyboard feels a bit alien and is taking a bit of getting used to after playing consoles think about getting something like this. [http://www.amazon.co.uk/Belkin-Hi-speed-Nostromo-Speedpad-F8GFPC200ea/dp/B0010YL6ZS/ref=pd_sim_sbs_computers_4] Gaming keypads put everything in an easily accessible layout that is closer to a controller and generally feels more comfortable than a keyboard. You can get all kinds, some even take the best of both worlds. You can have aiming with a mouse and analogue movements from a keypad with an analogue stick/nub. Most are programmable too, you can change the layouts and set up simple hotkeys and macros.

I have PC (x2), PS3, Wii and XBox 360, I will be staying with Wii U, PS4 and PC (x2). Not a hard choice really, M$ simply gave me a reason to save some $$.

Welp, I don't think I've dusted off my 360 in the past year or so; I'll probably just keep using my PC.
If I had the money and inclination to get a new console, however, it would probably be the ps4.

Why do you just assume the everybody just plays one console and one console only? I own and play all of them and I'm poor as fuck. I always find a way to get what I want. If I'm short on cash I do things the old fashioned way and do some odd jobs for neighbors. Boom. didn't think of that did you? Of course there's also Christmas and birthday money.

PC Master Race here.
I owned a PS3 that died three times before I ran out of time to send it in for repairs. An issue I am facing here is that I still have games that I'd like to play but don't think it's worth buying another PS3 for the amount of time I'd likely spend with the games.

The reason this is relevant is if Gaikai gives me credit for those discs that I own (not likely at all) then I am quite interested in the glamorous world of the PS4. As long as the PS4 also has a long list of games that I would like to play (Kingdom Hearts 3 may be a start). I do however strongly dislike the idea of mandatory Playstation+ for online games.
Most likely I am going to stick to my PC guns.

Maybe if I'm adventurous and come across money I'll get a WiiU to catch up on the Wii backlog or a Vita for Persona 4 Golden, Muramasa, Guilty Gear, and to retire the PS1/Audiobook duties of my PSPgo that has seen better days.

I was flat out offended by the 360's idea of how consoles work so I don't really consider the xBone a console at all.

EDIT: I'll say "PS3 to Alternative" because I got my PS3 before my PC and it's not likely that I'll make another shift.

I didn't vote because I didn't see a wiiU option included, and technically I am not going from anywhere.

Last gen I had a wii, PS3 and Xbox 360. I had to get all three because none of them by themselves could offer me what I wanted. I am moving from that to a PS4 and a wiiU. There is nothing on the Xbox One I want, as I am already tired of halo and gears.

Your poll is very flawed.

My current gaming systems:
PC
PS3
Xbox 360 (although I haven't turned the thing on since summer last year)
Wii
Wii U
3DS

I'm not going to jump ship or stay loyal to a brand. I am going to get consoles or upgrades because there are games I want that I need that specific console to play. Although that probably wont be Xbox One unless they release a new Banjo Kazooie game.

Actually, I would be staying the course. If the PS4 had turned out to be terrible, I just wouldn't buy one. But I never had the desire to buy an X-Box, and Nintendo made it quite clear that they didn't even WANT my business because their wonderful new toy could be bricked if they 'thought' I was ever doing something wrong. Similar practice to Microsoft, really. Oh well.

I have loved my 360 and will probably still go back to it many times when I have a next gen console.

That said, fuck Mircrosoft. I'm getting a PS4 for sure.
