Why waste money when the internet can provide you an answer for free? Honestly, I would probably never find myself using KGB. And by the way, having the acronym for your service be exactly the same as the one used for the Soviet secret police is never a good idea.

No, I wouldn't use their service. Anything I want to know I can find myself on the internet. I'm around computers enough.

I use it only when I'm with my friends and we ask a really stupid question that someone actually wants to know. Last time it was "What is the metling point of a cat" to which they responded "Access Denied" which I think means I got in trouble. Just a note I wasn't high but it's possible my friend was.
Cats don't melt, they combust. $1 please.

To be honest, I'd pay them a dollar to ask them the meaning of life.

If I get no response, it is war -.-

..and I demand my dollar back.
Why not try it out.
if they answer 42 I will subscribe to them and ask them every question I will ever get in my life.
Why? In doing so they'd be wrong. 42 is the question, not the answer, and if one were to know both the answer and the question the Universe would simply collapse and rebuild itself into an even more confusing and complex Universe.

To the OP: Why not?

I actually had a friend that used to work for the KGB for a while. It all boiled down to really obscure or stupid questions. Not counting the fact that to supply an answer, they must cite a non wikipedia source as well, making it all kind of funny to see when the answers got really weird.

Erm.. 42 is definitely the answer, the earth was built to find the question.

My brother's ex used to work for a service that was either this one or something similar. Always struck me as a silly concept, but hey, they were paying her to answer inane questions.

I think the last book gave it the Heisenberg treatment. You can know the question or the answer, but you can't know both.

Apparently someone's actually put one in a microwave, so I'd take a stab and say that the melting point of a cat (most parts anyway) would be whatever the microwave blasted it at.

Im pretty sure the 42 was the answer, they wanted to make a computer to make up the ultimate question because the answer wasn't specific enough.
I think, been awhile sence i read it.

also you ask why not, I believe I put that in the OP.
Most people have access to the internet, so why pay someone to look it up for you?
Im not saying its bad, just to me it seems pointless.

Well its a pointless task. Mose people just use Cha-Cha, and that one is free. Plus, with the internet around, it's pretty pointless to waste money on silly questions unless you REALLY needed to know the answer. And since the Riddler is not real, I don't see a reason why you would really need to know something.

No, why give them money when I could look it up on the internet for free. Which is what you know they are doing.
