Poll: Kick-Ass: The Movie

This is a kick-ass movie about a kick-ass comic. With most Escapists being nerds, myself included, I would like to know about your opinions for this movie. I'll probably watch it, just because of Nicholas Cage parodying comic book heroes, and I wanna know what you think about whether this movie will be kick-ass, or simply ass!

I also think it might challenge Jackass in its record of inspiring idiots to hurt themselves.

Eh, it looked okay, if not a bit stupid. It won't be on my "rush out to the cinema to see on launch day" list, but I might watch it on DVD or something.

Nicolas Cage's character looks like a cheesy Batman ripoff and sounds like a cheesy Bioshock ripoff.

But it's obviously going to be better than that other budgethero movie coming out soon. The one where his most competant move is throwing down a jar of bees.

One of the cops, I think in the red band trailer, talks about him looking like Batman. Everything in this movie is intentionally cheesy and generic, because it sounds funnier that way.

Looks pretty funny, will probably go and see it when it comes out.

Just saw this tonight and it is awesome. I didnt know it was based on a comic book so I dont know how it matches in that department but it mixes everything, good action, excellent comedy. Basically take Spiderman 3 but pretend its actually good. Its quite self aware and spoofs other comic book movies but manages to completely pull it off without falling into some of the cliches its sending up.

Will watch it soon after it comes out here, hope it's not too far away because the movie really looks like it will live up to its name.

Shes a great character cos most of her lines and actions are completely inappropriate for a 12 year old girl
