Poll: Kick-Ass: The Movie

I'm amazed anyone could watch that film and not be impressed, I read the comic feeling it had wasted potential(we all know Mark Miller can be a bit TOO cynical at times) but this film was genuinely the most enjoyable film I have seen this year.

The plot changes on paper might sound a bit naff, but they really worked in a way I doubt the original story would have; perhaps by keeping the brutality and a more complex story it wasn't dumbed down. Without a doubt the most entertaining film I have seen this year.

When I saw the adverts, I thought it looked incredibly childish (as in it appeals to a younger audience) and just too tacky. But the amount of people here saying it looks and has been good is really surprising. Maybe I will watch it.

I'm curious, but not enough to actually go see it in theatres. I'll probably rent it to watch with my roommate when it's out on DVD.

I'm more enthused about the Scott Pilgrim movie, but that's not out til August.

Seems like fun. I guess I should probably read the comic though.

As far as new films based off of relatively obscure comics go, though, I'm far more exited for this one.

I reckon it looks good for a few laughs, at the end of the day hasn't that always been the pursuit of cinema (Before you respond with some half-assed attempt at sounding like an underground film critic with an artistic preference towards that of noir watch "It's a mad mad mad mad world" and THEN tell me what you were going to say).

Considering I actually like the Epic, Superhero, ect. movies This sounds really good.

I have been looking forward to this since I first heard about it months ago! It doesn't look like it will come to the danish cinemas anytime soon though, bah.
