I do hate it, regardless of if they're good or not. They still ruin the game.

See when kids walk into the grow'd ups club, the grow'd ups hush their normal speech because it's uncomfortable and it ruins the experience for everyone.

Reminds me of when kids are having a good time and someone's mom walks into the room, everyone is hushed and uneasy until she leaves again. (I was, believe it or not, once a kid)

If you insist on playing with grown ups, don't use a mic. And don't debate that it IS the grown up game because because these games are rated 17+.

I am often mistaken as a child, though I could be some of these peoples mother. It's my gender, sadly. Once people assume I'm a little kid, it's often impossible to get them to think otherwise. I don't hate kids on a mic. I dislike that I am mistaken for one. :p
Happens to my wife a lot too, she usually has to play with at least one friend with a burly man voice to get her back when they start throwing the word "kid" around.

Not usally had that problem...playing PC games online play wither gives you no one with mics or an easy to not look at chat box. And to top it off I don't usally mess with the multiplayer any way

If kids dont talk im fine even if they arnt good. If they talk its fine along as they dont say stupid things. But when they do I feel like stabbing all the little kids in the world

I don't necessarily hate them, I just dislike them. A lot.

I mean, we were all that way at some point, but once you hit puberty, it gets so much more annoying to hear the 6-12 year olds screaming at you incoherently about how much you suck and they're awesome.

Of course, there's always the mute button.

I r microphone :V

OT: I haven't actually ran into any of these kind of children, what I run into are the ones that are good, take the game seriously and rage when I die 500 times and the grenade i just throw happens to kill all my teammates who just spawned.

Love that Friendly fire :D

I seriously hate children
I have to agree, but the irony is that I am one (although i dont use a mic for fear of being stereotyped). I think most 13 year olds give the rest of us a bad name.

if we are talking about a little kid who screams and curses over every single thing then yes

if we are just talking about the (rare) regular little kids who dont scream and give helpful information then i dont mind them

Yes, especially the sweary kind. The kind that in a high pitched wail exclaims that you are a ****** whilst apparently simultaneously doing your mom . Of course this was only on Halo and COD never had a problem with Rainbow Six or BC2.

I myself have a high-pitched voice, so a lot of people confuse me for a 13 year old.
It gets a tad bit annoying.

I have never found an annoying child on the net. I found a russian one who mumbled to himself, but that was not annoying. I guess I am lucky, or tolerant.

I don't hate them. Mind you, I've used a mic online for all of 2 hours. But the only little kid I ran into during that time (I was playing Street Fighter IV), kept on commenting on how good I was and wanted to know my secrets. It made me feel good, because I'm actually horrible at that game. He had that little kid amazement in his voice, I couldn't help but laugh. It was cute.

I don't think kids understand how much a microphone amplifies their high pitched voices, especially if you have speakers against your ears.
Secondly, if they did understand, they wouldn't care.
Third, kids are stupid. Even when they know better, they don't seem to change their behavior.
Inempathetic.

Worst of all when they get old enough, they get a cheap thrill knowing they can't be physically harmed by being jerks and take things to an extreme.

Having only just started playing Live, I don't really have that many problems with annoying kids. I mean yes, I run across more than my fair share of irritable kids, including one quite recently, but for the most part they are oddly rare and can easily be muted.

Plus I actually ran across a few kid gamers who were actually alright. One was about twelve and he didn't mic spam or scream or wail or carry on, he just played the game. He suffered from the odd bit of rage now and then but he wasn't all that bad and he was a pretty skilled player. I found myself friending him and we play each other from time to time.

But still when I do run across an annoying kid, I just mute him.

I voted yes, but I'm also a microphone.

I hate any annoying tool. Kids get too much hate on Live and other services, when there are full adults (in the physical sense, at least), calling people racist and homophobic slurs.

I mute most of them, report some of them, and move on, but it's annoying nonetheless.
