Yes. I couldn't live with myself if I knew that I could have saved so many. But shooting him is something I might make out to be a cool, anti-hero thing.

I just love the posts above me, trying to be clever and deep by saying "how do we know this for sure that he is telling da truth?++?!"
You guys know the question and it's simplicity, no need to be so damn formal.

OT: I don't think I could bring myself to do that. Someone that is for the moment innocent is of no interest to my death-list.

Would he be the actual one that would kill millions or would the people that told you to kill him kill millions if you let him live

Close my eyes, shoot him, and then turn the gun on the people who made me do it. Either kill them or make bloody sure they leave the other people alone.

Yes, but then I'd have to kill the whole million myself.

Really, if I don't know or care about either this one person or this one million, there's no point in making a decision. At least if a whole million dies I can nick their stuff afterwards, that's what video games taught me!

I would do it. As for if it was a close friend or family member, I let the millions die (hell I'd kill the millions to save a close friend or family member). People I'm close to bring me happiness, whereas most people in the world are generally giant twats.

That would be a definate yes, the life of a single man I never knew or cared about is nothing compared to a million lives.

Yes it might be cruel and harsh for that one man but it would be even more so for the million who could have been saved.

If a random stranger on the street tells me to kill stranger number two, to save one million strangers with out any real proof, then no.

Depends a lot on a a few variables. But mostly which side has people I care about.

Do I know the man? And who are the millions of people dying?

If it's someone I don't know, and the selection of millions is arbitrary, then yes. Sorry, but one of those millions could be someone I care about.

If it's someone I care about, and the millions of people are people I don't know, then nop.

The only hard decision would be if I had someone I really cared about as the individual, but the millions dying would be random out of all the people on earth, and one of those people could potentially be someone I cared about even more... That would fuck with me bad.

To quote Spock's dieing words: The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the one.
How could I argue with fuckin' Spock? Kill him I say, it only seems logical!

Probably. But as we all know, this is some sort of government agency gone rogue telling me to kill this guy, so I can't trust them. I have to escape and team up with an ex-agent of theirs played by Sean Connerey. Coming this Fall to a theatre near you.
Hey, I think I saw the trailer!

Convince him to commit suicide. If it's his choice, I have no issue with it. I mean, a few million lives weigh heavily on a person's conscience. I imagine if he had any honor at all, he'd do it.

It depends on which group of people the "millions of lives" are taken from, but if someone just told me if I shot the guy millions would be saved, I would shoot him on the spot.
