You can kill kids in Fallout, it's Fallout 3 you can't.
It annoys me when people are plot indestructible, it really annoys me when they're indestructible because it might be damaging for me to see them die.
Which is why I mod them to be killable and do it anyway.

ESRB won't approve anything in which children are depicted being hurt by the player. Bioshock came about as close as possible.
Oblivion doesn't have children in it for that reason.
Apparently, it's a HUGE issue to the ESRB, but I don't see it as any more reprehensible than killing any other non-combatant. I suppose the easiest way to slide it into a game would be to make a game about the Vietnam War when kids were strapped with bombs and blew up the soldiers who tried to give them candy. Basically, no game professionally released will have child-killing.
Edit: I forgot about the original Fallout, how the hell did Interplay slip that through? I only killed them if they attacked me. Then again, the whole town went berzerk if you killed anyone.

well the kids in it can kill you if you piss em off and all you can do is knock them out for about 5 seconds with 50 rounds while 80 mor evil children are trying to murder youTenkage said:
Hmm the only game I can think of where you can kill children in is Bioshock but due to the way in which is asks you to decide I've never killed one. I wouldn't see it as a big problem in a game like grand theft auto though.
