Poll: King Arthur vs. King Aragorn- Who Would Win?

Two kings of fictional tales, each with his own magical sword, fighting it out to the death. Each has their magical mentors, ways to cheat death, kingdoms to command, and artifacts aplenty.

The question I pose to you is...who would win a fight to the death?



In my opinion, I would say that Aragorn would win because of his hot Elvish girlfriend...what? It's a valid point...sorta..

Okay, fine. I say he'd win because he rules over all Men of the West, not just one nation. Therefore, he has a bigger army if you think about it. Plus, he's friends with the few Elves left in Middle-Earth.

Not to say Arthur would be outmatched fully. I would say it would be a very close battle.

He has Excalibur, and more importantly, Excalibur's scabbard - the one that prevents the wearer from bleeding.

So, assuming that they are evenly matched, they both deal one wound. Aragorn is mildly hurt - Arthur is not hurt at all (thanks to the scabbard). Repeat a dozen times and Aragorn bleeds out while Arthur is unharmed.

Guess that would help a lot, wouldn't it? I'll admit, I'm not an expert on either side, and know only basic facts. I was just curious as to who people think would win.

Maybe. But Aragorn is also simply the shit. He just handles business. So, my votes for him, regardless of items and such.

Arthur has Merlin, a wizard that actually does something other than speak in cryptic riddles and flash a light at the villains every once and awhile. He wins!

Arthur has in his possession the great blade Excalibur, Merlin - who has shown skills a degree greater than Gandalf, Knights of the Round, and has slain multiple fell beasts, including one or more dragons. He is a fair measure more accomplished and more experienced than Aragorn, who is a reluctant king.

They would much more likely be great allies and brothers-in-arms, but Arthur would win.

Arthur. If only because he's got Merlin to see the future for him. Hard to lose when you've got THE archetypal wizard on your side. Then there's Excalibur...

Aragorn was fighting against Sauron and hundreds of thousands of Orcs, evil wights, and other armies of men furnished with 30 foot tall elephants.

Arthur was fighting a bunch of smelly Saxons, and by a bunch I mean literally hundreds. And he lost.

So yeah, I'm gonna vote Aragorn.
