KOTOR was and is a very nice addition to the Star Wars Galaxy. Battling in the Mandalorian wars as either a Dark Jedi or a normal Jedi is awesome. However there is conformation that there will be a KOTOR MMO instead of a KOTOR III. My question to you good people is should they have made a KOTOR III or kept their decision of a MMO KOTOR.

I'm tired of games that are becoming MMOs, they will never become as good (even though it's not great itself) World of Warcraft.

I wish it was just a normal single player game like the previous two.

BioWare should have made KOTOR II and KOTOR III, now they're making an MMO... makes me sad for my favorite RPG series ever.

I'd love another KOTOR, I really would. Just so long as they throw in everyone's favorite assassin droid at some point.

KOTOR 1&2 was great
All MMOs suck, because they have no story and I have no time for them.
I want KOTOR 3

I have doubts that a third KOTOR could be anything more than just fan service.

Kinda like an MMO.

My guess is for the MMO is the force powers would be dumbed down.
Or just make it like magic in every other MMO.

I've noticed that, in their discussions of the MMO, its makers (never paid attention to who, I don't think its Bioware) keep going on about how its going to have all this story and will replace KotOR 3, and I believe one said, it will replace 4, 5,6,7, etc as well. It doesn't seem to occur to them that many of the previous games' fans will not like an MMO, and MMO fans will just stick with Wow, especially after Galaxies. So, who are they marketing this to?

~whispers~ and better programming this time!

KotOR 3 =D MMOs are game fail, they are the mutant offspring off boring, OCD and micro-managment. They expel heroin and charge you for each excretion of pure abhorrent tedium it protrudes. WoW will end up making the KotOR servers close within weeks anyway, between SWG, and the success of WoW AND the elaborate and long term project of Mythic, WAR, which is already failing, what chance does this game have? It is simply SWG but cornered even futher and stealing the name of a beloved franchise to try and appeal to its fan acolytes. No they should scrap the project and start a new. See what they can salvage.

I just can even simply imagine how the game would run as an MMO. Please don't disgrace the good KOTOR name like this! It is doomed to fail!

Unless you consider games like Eve failures, WAR isn't exactly failing. Over a half a million subscriptions is admittedly little compared to WoW's 12 million, but that's still a whole load of subscriptions. Age of Conan is failing, but that's entirely because of the end result was a game that lacks content and is buggy to boot.

The writing had been on the wall for a while: Bioware was going to do an MMO. That it is a KOTOR MMO wasn't exactly shocking. I'm willing to give their effort a try, since Bioware is one of those companies that just might afford to do something different from your common WoW clones. I'm actually a bit glad that they opted to go for something a bit different as opposed to cranking yet another sequel (though I had hoped for something more radical than this).
