What about the option hide and wait until it starts pummleing your friend and then shoot it in the back
thats awesome anyway I would run in circles till it goes for one of my close-by teammates then shoot itMGlBlaze said:Yahtzee might be able to ignore the tank to death.plastic_window said:Who voted for "ignore the Tank"? When would that ever work?
I'd do what everyone else does online: run away and perforate the hulking beast with bullets.
I would but I don't know how to add more poll options... im out of lines!!!HG131 said:You should add "Make a Septic Tank" on there.Sneaklemming said:Well seeing as L4D2 is OUT- all us vets are going back to L4D to brush up. Thought this might be fun.
So what do you do?
Personally I either run at the tank screaming hysterically or RUN AWAY! - depends on my mood tbh...

So this is kinda search bar approved- but my forum-fu is weak; and I'm almost certain there must be an old thread like this- but I think it's time for a fresh view on the topic now that it's been out a while.
EDIT: Other option removed... tis boring
Ed:Ed: New option added which I forgot
It's not a gaming myth, you can test it. Normally the Tank runs only slightly slower than Green-health survivors such that if you keep running in a straight line, he can't catch you but you'll be hard pressed to get a safe distance just running straight. On fire he runs slightly faster than green health survivors, and will catch you if you just run straight.Sneaklemming said:It might be an urban gaming myth; but Ive always held that setting the tank on fire makes it just fast enough to be able to catch you- while not on fire its the same speed...Slayer_2 said:I throw a molotov (does that actually make them faster?!?) Then I usually get torn to pieces depending on whether I'm playing online and at what difficulty. If I have AI on my team, I let them distract the Tank while I open fire. On Easy/Normal/Advanced I almost never get killed by the Tank.
