Bayonetta is way out there and over-the top, but fun for exactly those reasons. Not a perfect game, and it's no God of War, really, but I enjoyed it tremendously. The combat, though quite complicated (in a good way), moved pretty smoothly. Moreso than I was expecting at least. Overall, fun, but bizarre doesn't even come close to describing it.(Guns. Built into your 10 inch high heels. Nuff said.)
Darksiders is probably my favorite of this lineup, simply because its gameplay was fairly diverse and it did a good job of giving me goals to work towards. Personally, I really loved the monster designs also, and the dungeon-diving feel to it was pretty well mapped and thought-out. It had the elements to make it a great adventure beat-em-up, but the only thing that cut it down for me was yeah, I have to agree with Hal10k: the combat mechanics were pretty bland. But, looking past that, it's worth the 15-17 bucks you'd spend on it.
P.S. Also doesn't hurt to have a 360 AND a PS3. I've gotta recommend that idea too.
