I just had the chance to get L4D2's new DLC, The Passing, and I enjoyed it, but what did you guys think? Whether you liked it or not, please explain your reasoning. I just loved the atmosphere, new weapons/Infected, and just everything about it.

My jaw kinda dropped when I found those supply caches, and meeting the old survivors was pleasing.

I'm really sad that they actually had Bill's corpse there.

Also, a run and gun Crescendo, in water that halves your running speed? Fucking A Valve, I haven't even tried it on Expert but I know its gonna be improbable to do.

Wait, WHAT? I didn't see that! Nngh, now I have to replay it...

Anyway.

I didn't hate it, but it didn't wow me. Seeing the ol' gang was nice, and the Bride Witch was a nice touch but still, I give it a one shoulder shrug and a 'Meh'. They could've done more with it.

I wasn't particularly impressed by the old Survivors, as they had little interaction with the players. The new weapons weren't too great, just a Katana with a different appearance and a gun that feels like a louder AK-47.

Mutation Mode and the Bride, though? Absolutely awesome. The Passing wasn't what I expected, but it delivered a great experience for reasons I had not seen coming.

yep, but that M-16 he has does double damage. I lead the way to victory with my three retarded companions with the weapon of a fallen hero. I even took down a couple tanks with it.

OT: I liked it. it was fun, took about an hour, had plenty of variety, and the M-60 is the best weapon ever. you just point it at whatever you want destroyed and hold down the trigger. you will not be displeased.

I loved it. Was totally worth 560 Micro-points. I liked the M60, and the golf club made an incredibly satisfying sound when it impacted a zombie's skull.

I don't understand why everyone is so upset about the L4D1 survivor interactions though. I didn't really expect any more than a few short seconds of conversation. In my honest opinion, if they added more screen time for them then it would hold up gameplay, and in a fast paced co-op shooter like L4D2 that can be damaging.

I'm also happy because I invited my friend over to split screen in offline co-op for my first playthrough. He managed to get me "Kite like a man" by running away from me and the other bots. It was really hilarious because the tank died the moment the bots gained line of sight on him, any later and they would have shot him robbing me of the achievment (which I had no plans of trying to get on that run).

You didn't encounter the 9-Iron?

Only thing I liked was the bride.

Should have had a hunter in tux, though.

But really? Meh. Serious major meh.

In around 12 months they made 5 fully functioning campaigns, new infected, new weapons.
In about 5 months they made a 3 part buggy-as-feck campaign in which there is an overpowered game breaking weapon (The M60... Kind of BFBC2esque habbit this thing is having lately) and a golf club.

So, yeah, unimpressed.

I suppose though Mutation is a big old laugh. Realism vs makes the Jockey a lot of fun until you get one shotted by the M60.

I knew he would die due to a little snooping around some valve threds. I just wish it had been mor dramatic... like a Bill tank. Get it? Because he was in the army!.....

Don't replay all of it if you don't want to, just look near the generator at the Port, he's there.

I really liked it, it was very much like a left 4 dead 1 campaign (being set in a dark city) with all the improvements of left 4 dead 2 e.g. gore, melee weapons. I liked the M-60 and I felt it was quite balanced by having ammo that seems to vanish within 3 minutes of picking it up. Also the golf club is so satisfying to use, that little ding it makes with a headshot is amazing.

New Midnight Riders song was fucking awesome!!!

Really, really enjoyed it. A nice blend of the two games, some ACTUAL PLOT and a few cool additions.

It was alright, just way too short. Also, I had hoped for a little bit more interaction between the survivor groups.

Wait, the gun Bills corpse had wasn't an M16 (that's the 150 bullet clip new gun) are you sure it does double damage though?

EDIT: I researched on google, but couldn't find anything about Bills gun, link?
