Bill, in all fairness he is the most badass of the lot of them (he was in 'Nam, he has a beard and he has the balls to insult a shotgun wielding biker on multiple occasions).

Personally i I like Bill because Zoey is a whore, Francis is a fag, and the black guy always dies.

the infected are pretty cool but imI don't really count them as characters.

I think that all the characters have their own little quirks that make them fun as a whole. Having a game centering on one is not that great, but as a team, they make for some of the best characters I've seen in recent years. I cite the elevator conversation between Bill and Francis when they talk about Bill's beard as the best example.

If I had to play favorites; it'd be Louis. He's a quirky guy with a rather boring life compared to the others, and he subtly plays into African-American stereotypes without offending anyone.

I play as Zoey. Though I'm male, there's usually too much fighting over Bill and Francis anyway, Louis DOES always die and I tend to get healed more if I'm a girl.

Oh, and I block the tosser spamming the long, wailing, agonizing Zoey-scream for the entire goddamn level if I play as her.

its all about francis for me out of all of them i think he looks the most badass and even though he can sound overly grumpy some times when he never forgets to tell you what things he hates it adds to hes charm, out of all the characters i didnt really play as zoey no real reason why i just thought out of all the characters she was my least fravoute

My favourite L4D character is easily Zoey. She seems like she actually has some intelligence, whereas you've got the other 3. One is a brute, the other an IT consultant who has no idea what the real world is like, and then you'd got the senile old codger who's slowly losing his mind.
Zoey's the most together out of all of them.
I just hate being picked on by the AI Director when I play as her... >.<
