There are two zombie types in Prototype. Two.

Of course they'll survive that. A hunter can't be much harder to kill in a confined space than a Tank.

Why do a crossover like this? Prototype is a terrible game, and limiting it to only two different types of enemies to fight would make L4D a terrible game as well.

I have seen hunters take as many m16 rounds as a tank, and there are many, many hunters. And then there are the hunter leaders, and the hydra's, and the supreme hunter, and the fast zombies. I dont think they would make it down a few streets, especially considering how much ammo they would have to spend taking out regular infected.

I'm a little confused can you clarify what you mean?
what dont you get?do you know the game prototype and left 4 dead?
Yeah but I don't know if you mean the survivors are like Alex or if the special infected are or if you've just thought of something completely different.
And when someone asks you to clarify something you don't say 'what don't you get' you should actually clarify it.

Why would you take a good game and stuff it into a bad game?

And I don't know. Maybe.
Which game are you saying is good and which is bad?
Cos I think L4D is awesome and Prototype sucks, but that's just my opinion.
And I think your opinion is spot-on.

But again, that's just me.

Yeah they're dead. Eventually they'd just get infected like everyone else or get eaten.
So they will get infected!

Wait... is the virus airborne at a point or is it purely through bite later on? I can't get a clear answer out of the wiki. It says the hives will infect more... but I have no idea what that means, is it the spewing of spores or what?

And having survived the virus in Left 4 Dead I have to wonder if they are considered "candidates" for the Blacklight virus.
From what I gathered, I always thought it was somewhat airborne. At least, it spread very easily even to buildings, so just touching the stuff you'd get it instantly, apparently. However, the "Candidates" seem to be mostly the ones that are turned into hunters or something more. Everyone else is just a zombie that slices into three pieces nicely.

... Elizabeth Greene - through life, Alex Mercer - through death - and PARIAH - through birth? Obviously not PARIAH due to how he came to be, but there is the possibility of equaling him in power given the immune system of the four is something completely different.

And since their immune system is so different I would have thought the Blacklight virus would have a field day with them in its intent to create the perfect being. Then again, I'm satisfied if they get sliced into bits.

The L4D infected cant open doors, but the infected in prototype build nests out of buildings.
Also, those huge hunters from Prototype would be too much for the 4.

Well a single Hunter can take as much damage as a Tank, and of course, there are plenty of Hunters. This is not including the Leader Hunters (even stronger) The Hydras and God-Forbid, Alex Mercer.
Now Alex Mercer MIGHT help the survivors at one point but it is only a matter of seconds before they get hit in the crossfire, so they're humped.

Well, the hunters in protoype are sortof like the tanks in L4D, and i doubts they could face off vs a pack og prototype hunters (this would be a lot easier to write if there wasn't a different kidn of hunter in L4D)

On the otehr hand, in prototype, the civilians could just mind themselves, tehy don't have to run or evacuate, if they try, the milliotary will kill them.

So i'd say they could just stay indoors in a non-infected zone, and survive that way.

Hmm, good point. I'm not all the way done with the WOI, so perhaps. I could definitely see them being more then just the mindless masses that are all squishy. I think they at least would become hunters, maybe even Prime Hunters, like the Blacklight soldier that's after you.

The Infected Civilians would be no problem except in terms of using up ammo. The Evolved Infected would be real trouble (they move even faster than L4D's Infected, and are stronger as well), but I think the L4D crew could handle them unless it was a big pack. The Hydras they could probably just stay out of the way of. But the PT Hunters...this is something that combines the Tank's strength and endurance (probably greater) with the L4D Hunter's maneuverability: more than one and it's simply over (and they routinely travel in packs), and even one is quite likely to take at least one Survivor with it. If we're talking about Leader Hunters or Mercer himself, the Survivors have, sadly, no chance: there isn't a weapon in L4D that can slow down a Leader. (Fortunately, Mercer, canon-wise, doesn't seem to go around killing people that aren't actively messing with him.) And don't forget all the trigger-happy military around the city, as well.

The two games operate with different powerscales, really.
