Poll: Left 4 Dead on the PS3.

I read today that Valve´s L4D will be made for the PS3, but by *sigh* EA. Me, not having a 360 or a decent computer, am enthralled by this, but since Orange Box , I cant help but feel that this time wont be much different. Not that Orange Box was awfull, in fact, it was actually quite fun, besides the many slowdowns and the inferior game mechanics. Whats your view?

i like L4D (i am playing at as i am writing this) and personally i think L4D is a good game regardless of wether it is on PS3, X-Box 360 or PC. but i am in favor of having games that are exclusive for a consol, i think its just better that way, sso yeah it would be pretty decent on PS3 but i dont think it should port over, it should be an X-Box exclusive.

No, it will be bad if the travesty that was the PS3 Orange Box is anything to go by. If it goes wrong Valve won't bail them out, either - they hate the PS3 with a fiery, angry passion.

I best not, since in my country there is about one store shelve dedicated to the 360 games, while there are about 10 dedicated to PC.

I'm excited me and my friends will be able to play L4D on PS3 since we have no 360,

but I'm frightened, nay, TERRIFIED due to EA's holding of the port rights.....

I never had a problem with the Ps3 version of The Orange Box, so as long as left 4 dead is a good game, this should turn out as a good game.

Edit: Didn't see the link, but this comment still stands if it does get ported.

As for the topic: EA only distributes the game. Valve is the developer.

How go will it be on the PS3? As good as on the 360 I suppose, both are infinitely inferior to the PC version, just like... Almost any game really... But if you don't have a gaming rig and don't mind the atrocious feeling of your soul dying as you play shooters with a controller, then it'll be good. I personally even prefer the PS's controller to the xbox's.

To the OP, what spec is your computer? The Source games run pretty well on hardware that even Valve say thye shouldn't do, why not try getting Steam and Portal or Half Life 2: Ep2(which are $20 and $15) and seeing if it will run. If you can run either then you can run L4D no trouble.
Even if it doesn't work it's a small outlay against the cost of a new 360/PC/waiting for the full price release of L4D if it ever happens, which it won't.
