I use my left hand for more complex tasks, but my right hand for things like doorknobs, holding things, etc.

I'm a lefty, through and through. And yes, most things are designed for righties. The only area where that really cheeses me off is the guitar department (being a bassist). Barring a specialty store (of which there is ONE in the US), there'll usually be between three and no left-handed guitars in any given music store.

Also rather annoying is the notion that the only difference between a lefty and righty guitarist is that a lefty _learned_ on a left-handed guitar. Which is bupkis, frankly.

And the left-handed rock band sounds awesome. Imagine Hendrix on guitar, McCartney on bass, and.... I dunno, some guy drumming.
Dominic Howard on drums.
Yes. Epic.

Left handed shouldn't be a problem with guitar or bass just redo the strings the opposite way.
Well, you can, but the nut (the part of the guitar at the top of the neck that keeps the strings spaced) is most certainly "handed," and even then the knobs and pickup switches will most likely get in the way. most acoustic guitars even have handed bridges.
Really my acoustic isn't like that the nut at the top. Ah well maybe the world will learn!

I can use the left-handed mouse but since I didn't realize that when I was younger I got so used to the right-handed mouse I just have to use that... ^^'

So yeah, I'm a lefty as well. I use my left hand for almost everything, I can't really even say where or when I wouldn't use my left hand.

I think the hardest thing for me as a lefty has been learning how to drive. I just couldn't get the gears right in my head - I kept thinking 1 is on the right and then comes 2, 3, 4 and 5 is on the left. Like it would be if the gearstick had been on my left side. My dad was going batshit crazy about it until I finally got the order to change in my head.

So yeah, this actually does interest me a lot. Why are the stuff made for left-handed people so freckin' expensive? Why do people find it so funny when I write with my left hand? Why am I left-handed in the first place when both my parents are right-handed and there are basically no lefties in the family except me and my brother?

It's interesting or I am just weird.

The only thing I cannot do with my left hand is write as legibly as my right hand. Although it could pass as a fourth graders penmanship it looks terrible. Its weird though, becasue my left hand is more nimble and capable of finer tuned things then my right.

I was born left-handed, but am now effectively ambidextrous with all things except drawing and writing. Training ftw.

I'm right handed, but depending on what the activity is then I'll need to use my left hand.

I write with my right hand, but I do almost everything else with both. My parents said they had to "teach" me to be right handed when I was a little kid.

I'm a lefty. And I think that the Wii is the spawn of the devil for lefties. Because I'm used to having the analog stick on the left side, but I also want to do the waving with my left hand, I fail when it comes to a lot of WiiMote + Nunchuk games.

Oppression of lefties has been going on through the ages. The Latin word for left is unbelievably sinister and left-handed people were indeed regarded by the Romans as a bit... weird, shall we say?
