I say yay in a time like this when economies are clapsing we don't really need people in prison for a harmless crime like this (now that we know it doesn't shrink your brain and such)

Yay, for reasons found in numerous other threads on the subject.

Thought I would be the first to say: This will probably be moved by a mod into of topic discussion.

As much as I'm against frequent drug use (once in a while I think is more than fine), and that I've never tried cannabis, I still want it legalized.

I wouldn't use it much, if at all. But I think it is an incredibly good alternative/replacement for alcohol.

A little bit of cannabis does wonders for the mind, and the soul. The negative aspects are few and far between, and I have seen first hand the positiveness of doing so. For crying out loud, it helped me quit smoking cigarettes, which kills more people every year than I can fathom. Why not legalize?

Nay, because it stinks, and I don't want even more people stealing my stuff to sell so they have money for their addiction.
Why bother legalising it? If they are after it, they get it anyway, no need to tempt more people.
Then again, if it were legalised, at least the government could attempt to control it a little more competently, maybe drive the dealers out of business...

Oh. I thought this was about a legalize cannabis game.
Either way: Yay!!!

Even if you don't use it, it's not doing anybody any good to remain illegal.

Conservatives will always halt progress, as they behave in a way that is much different from the purpose they originally claimed to hold.

YAY! Then wait to see the real world results... likely no major shift. Who was paranoid NOW?

It may not have addictive "qualities", yet people still get drawn in and hooked on how it makes them feel.
Driving some of the weaker-willed one to turn to crime to fuel their habits.
People become addicted to the high it gives them, they want to experience it more, all the time, no matter the cost to them other those around them.
Luckily, not everyone is like that with cannabis >.>
Just the morons who live in the same area as me >.>

Yes, that way I won't have to hang around in the cold waiting for some shady ************ to walk up like "you buying?" That's really quite annoying.
