Take out all the stuff about addiction and your correct if someone stole I'd stuff they were probably after meth or coke cannabis has none to little addictive properties
It may not have addictive "qualities", yet people still get drawn in and hooked on how it makes them feel.
Driving some of the weaker-willed one to turn to crime to fuel their habits.
People become addicted to the high it gives them, they want to experience it more, all the time, no matter the cost to them other those around them.
Luckily, not everyone is like that with cannabis >.>
Just the morons who live in the same area as me >.>
Like alchohol, then.
Except with far less fighting, vandalism, pissing in the street, and being incredibly loud; and with far more spirituality, musical inspiration, and open-mindedness.

Yay: legalise weed and ban alchohol at the same time, fix a lot of problems at once.
lol we know from previous experiences that doesn't work I do agree though cant get to sleep on my street on Friday nights =\

People enjoy eating cake too. But they don't go steal shit to buy cake. The addictiveness is completely psychological and even debatable. Video games or movies are about as addicting as pot. (Recreation) The reason some people get addicted is because they have an obsessive streak. Pot has been demonized in societies for more than what it is. Pot isn't going to make you go steal crap or any other nonsense. Your morals might. If someone steals stuff to get pot, they probably steal stuff anyways.

Oh [deity] no, if only we were so lucky.
It in no way makes them better people here. They start as assholes, then become drugged-up assholes.
At least if they were drunk, they would have more trouble walking. None of the latter, good stuff you mentioned happens here when people use cannabis. These assholes aren't hippies, unfortunately.
And it only brings out more of the former stuff you mentioned.
I am so glad for the people who don't have to put up with the same people I do.

I think so, government control of selling narcotics would outright kill the criminal drug trade. It only got voted down in california because the dealers, are living at prohibition prices, there's inflation with the risk, they'd be making peanuts if you could go into a 711 and buy drugs, who's quality has been assured and people accountable if the product is bad.

They would have to do it with other drugs too to curb criminal outlets. I'm not saying drugs are good, but people should live their lives how they want, there's too many of us on this planet to go but they might die. I dunno maybe the solution is legalization of everything, but users assume the risk of less healthcare when they screw up so we don't save someone who is ODing over an injured victim.

While I myself do not smoke marijuana, I try to educate myself on the REAL facts about it, not the "it's a gateway!" or "it shrinks your brain!" arguments, since they have been proven to be fallacies. So... I guess "yay", but with restrictions (much like cigarettes, you must be at least a certain age, et. al.).

Yay, just makes most things easier and everything else better.
I don't want to start a debate or anything, I know it has its good and bad effects but then so does alcohol (and don't start a massive rant about comparing these, i've heard them all), so is legalization such a bad thing?

Every reasonably intelligent human should have long since understood that the "War on drugs" has failed, and failed spectacularly too.

Legalize it I say.

It's the obvious choice.

So why bother tempting even more people into stealing stuff? ¬.¬
At least cake doesn't have effects on how people behave, doesn't change how a person feels. Doesn't give them a feeling they want again and again.
Sure, legalise it for the rest of the world if you want, but by damn, move all the bad apples to where I live and firebomb it first. I don't want them loose and ruining it for everyone else.

yes it does obese people want cake (or whatever they like) again and again that's why they're obese so by that logic cake should be illegal too

Tell me then, when was the last time you saw someone who was an avid cake lover, who likes to vandalise things, steal things, threaten people, etc?
I don't remember ever seeing a cake mess with someone's mind to that extent (excluding the obvious Portal cake).
Plus, cake tends not to stink and give headaches >.>

... Im pretty sure the problems you're blaming on weed are just cause your neighbors are dickheads. srsly. Baked people are normally quiet, hungry, and interested in anything.
You're right, a number of them are gak heads. That doesn't stop drugs from making them worse.
And I hardly want the ones who aren't using cannabis to start using it, otherwise this area might spontaneous combust due to so much concentrated feth. Actually, that would be a good thing, it would cleanse this area in purifying flame...
There are already enough assholes in this world, we don't need to make more by introducing more people to drugs...
