Love it,Own it,... though havn't actually beaten it for myself yet.
Rose,(For alot of reasons) in my opinion is the best Dragoon in the game. Knows alot about the worlds history,never gets tricked or cuaght off-guard and not to mention A fierce fighter who rarely runs into someone that is strong against her Darkness Element that shear force can't handle.
First time I played Legend of Dragoon was a on a demo disc that showed off the wonferful combat system it had based on timing instead of just skill. Then I rent it later on and got fairly far but sadly all rentals come to an end about 2/3 into the game and never got around to rent it again.
My next visit with LoD was at a sleepover at friends house who mentioned having trouble with the final boss fight I figured I'd give it shot with history of beating RPGs. So I checked out the gear, weapons, skills and etc. adn fought the Final Battle (I won luckily.)Watched the credits and all that and a few years later picked up my own copy but my PS3 at the time fired and took the data with it about halfway So I'd have to start all over again just to fill in the gap I'm missing on the 3rd Disc. (Curse my good memory of in-game stories!)

This and Parasite Eve were the best RPG's for the PS1. Honorable mention to Vagrant story.
