A million times no.

They're the only Zelda games I really loathe
Oddly enough, they're the only ones that I'd call perfect. Even LTTP and OoT had their flaws.
And the oracle games don't?
Not as many, in my eyes. Then again, they were my first Zelda games. And the villain in Seasons is named Onyx.

Getting Dimitri as the pet lets you swim early on. And THAT IS AWESOME.

Well, I am getting Pokemon Heart Gold, so yeah, I guess I wouldn't mind an updated zelda title.

even though on my OoA/OoS I have completed the story to the point where they stop giving you codes to transfer data... I'd still play it.

Fuck yes.

I loved Seasons and Ages better than Ocarina of Time and any other Zelda game.

The 2 best Zelda games. Seasons>Ages, though, imo.
This pretty much sums up this topic for me. I have gotten more play out of those two Zelda games than I have any other.

If for a home console, almost certainly! ^^
I've always had a much harder time completing the 2d Zeldas than I've had the 3d ones, I really don't know why =/
.. But I'd really like to be able to play through them completely, so yes, I'd get them =]

Onox actually. Knox if you're one of those types who prefer the japanese name (which thanks to the terrible translation they actually call him a couple of times).
The games were repetitive as hell and seasons was the only truely original one and even then it wasn't that original.
Portals to another land (Seasons with Subrosia and Ages with the past/present)? Link to the Past did it with the light/dark world.
Time Travel? Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask did it, and they didn't keep you limited to some shitty time travel until the end of the bloody game.
The only truly new item outside of the harp/staff was the magnetic gloves which admittedly were cool.
Every over world puzzle that didn't require your animal friend (which were just annoying by the way, dimitri was the only one who wasn't terrible in every way because he swam faster then Link did) was the same. In seasons you swung your penis rod around until the season matched whatever you needed. In ages you just switched times until you found the right person to talk to. The dungeons just recycled like four puzzles right up until the very end (though this is a general Zelda formula problem.
The password system is utterly inane and basically exists to try and hook up on the pokemon craze that companies loved to get in on by making two people get two sides of one game and play together to play the whole game. Ultimately you had to beat the game twice to get the real plot which is utterly pointless.
The rings were also a stupid idea. They served no purpose at all other then the "don't get hit by zora fire" one.

One thing I'd give these games would be the fact that they don't always go "use new item on boss until dead" like the 3D games tend to. However it's quickly taken away once you realize that rather then "use new item" it's "use new item and shoot seeds" or in some cases just "shoot seeds". The seeds were pointless. They got rid of great items like the pegasus boots, fire rod and magic powder for a completely stupid mechanic.
I never claimed they were original. And I LIKED the ring system a ton. Let you customize a bit.

I'dd buy the games, my first flirt with the Zelda series, and seasons hooked me, where ages punched me. Seasons is more straight forward, where ages let's you wrestle a bit, I like it.

Also the rings and 3 different pets are cool(bar ricky...).

Good games, shame I can't have 'em on my ds, or at least downloadable on the wii.

Anyway, great games, liked both, storywise not bad and, most importantly, they're fun.

Do you also like the CD-i games?

And more on topic postage for me, I'd prefer a Links Awakening remake. I'd fucking love to see the Wind Fish in glorious 3D.
Did ANYONE like the CD-i, and I use this term loosely, "games"?

Play Links Awakening. The oracle games pretty much ripped their entire gameplay from it.
Is that the one in which you start of escaping a castle with Zelda? Never even got out of the castle... If it's not that one, I don't know which one is escaping the castle...

Anyway, I'm running miles away from my point, thanks, I'll see if I can get my hands on it. I know this cute littel gameshop that I think would even kill to get a game for you if you'dd ask 'em nicely...:)

That's a damn blatant insult against me and the Oracle games, sir! The Oracle games don't feature this shit:

Im not sure. I bought Ages and my best mate bought Seasons, we completed them then swaped. I have both now and still play them. Part of me likes to stay true to the originals but id also like to see what it would be like with a graphical update.

Honestly your video managed to make seasons look even more boring. Just walking, walking, walking with nothing interesting going on. But thanks for reminding me of that godawful dancing minigame.
Every Zelda game has walking...and I'm pissed that I reminded MYSELF of the dancing mini-game. The biggest flaw in the game. But you don't have to do it much.
