I dident want to imply anything, im just trying to be P.C.
And yeah it would be awesome...ill do some research on that.
Well, that's your problem right there.

...sorry, I kind of have a grudge against the whole "P.C" double-standard.

Anyway, all I'm saying is I thought it was a movie version of Fallout 3 at first because of the name of that diner.

For a second there I thought I hadn't seen the red band trailer. Turns out I had. And this movie still sucks.

This is up there with His Dark Materials on my "Bullshit Anti-Christian" Meter.

Frankly, everything looks nice except for the massive amounts of Fridge Logic involved in this movie.

* Uh... Why guns? They have heaven-swords.
* Uh... Why are they possessing people? They're angels.
* Uh... Why do they look more like zombies than angels?
* Uh... Why does this post need to contain so many ellipses from the viewing of ONE PREVIEW? I'm not one to comment on the quality of a movie before it's out, but if any trailer can tell you a movie's going to suck it's this one.
* Uh... If God's the one wiping out humanity, does that make the woman's baby the Antichrist?
* And the big one... If this is the Abrahamic God, why the FUCK would he wipe out humanity? It breaks everything about God that has ever been declared. He is gong against his own Word. He has changed his mind and wants to destroy those he cared for as children for so long. Seriously, the level of shit he appears to be dropping to puts him almost lower than Satan. If you cast someone from your domain for shitty behavior, and then find yourself committing worse shitty behavior, I think it's time for a good old fashioned "Does not compute" explosion.

In fact, hold up. That's a good plot twist right there: Make it so that God has nothing to do with this; everyone is just being deceived by Satan. Even the TRAILER makes it look like that's completely impossible, but if that ends up being the twist this movie would go up two letter grades instantly in my book.
Thank You. And that twist would single handedly make me want to see it.

I'd also like to point out that it seems silly to release another apocalypse movie. Haven't we had enough of those lately? I mean, I could really go for something inspired by/making subtle fun of the other side of the bible for once. You know, the part with the historical destruction of major cities. If you want to show a wrathful God then look back not forward.

You have to go to this movie just to say you did, cause you know your going to be quoting it and making fun of it with your friends. It looks like a good time waster for sure. Plus with the a fore mentioned ice-cream man and grandma, how can you not go?

Looks quite average, but using God as the antagonist is an interesting idea that has a lot going for it. I mean, the dude created Hitler and AIDS. Any omnipotent being knows exactly what the results of its actions will be, and must therefore be held responsible for them.

god yes. i like the actors (well, the two I recognise) and I thought Constantine was alright even though it wasn't. So yeah, I'll go see it.
Everyone keeps referenceing Constantine.
This movie is nothing like Constantine, Constantine actually had a good story.
If your saying its like Constantine because it refernces God, then I could say that I liked Charlton Heston's 10 Commandments.
they dont even have the same writers or director.

hey that's not a bad idea. but they are still marketing this as God destroying the earth, so im not sure the shamalanian twist will help.
I think a more likely shamalanian twist would be if the entire country was in on the whole thing being some sort of massive-real-life play they perform every year and there is some foreigner stuck in the middle. And s/he doesn't find out until the after party.
Ha that would be too much...Right up Shyamalans alley

I'm intrigued by this movie. Depending on the angle they take it could be good. It also has the potential to be incredibly stupid.
On the God angle. He's never been all that effective at mass extermination. I mean, the flood was his big idea for killing all life. I mean old testament god is a bit of a jerk so mass genocide doesn't seem too far beyond him.

Also i'm fairly sure the "token badass" is Lucifer. Mostly due to his familiarity with Gabriel as well as the angelic script tatoos along his body. so the idea of Lucifer as savior may also be present.

what I dont get is:

A) is the main person Legion? [bible-wise]

B} if A is yes, then how the hell does a demon have wings? [did he drink a red-bull or something?]

beyond that it looks like to be just another cookie cutter action film, granted the premise has only been done a few times, even fewer being good movies, but in the end these types of movies are very predictable.

though most are still amazing....

I have to admit I am interested in this movie. Might even write a review on it.
I can't wait for that. This is going to be one of the worst movies of the next decade.
nope, Alone in the Dark has that title along with worst movie for 2000-2400, there can be no worse of a film than Alone in the Dark, this is a universal LAW.......
I thought of bringing up why its called legion, but I figured not alot of people would know the story.

and Uwe Boll has done much worse film, alone in the dark is just the most well known.

Ok I dont want to press this, because I dont want this to get religios, but the flood was made so Noah and his family could survive, so hes pretty good at that.

Anyhoo enough of that.
The Token Badass is actually Michal the arch angel.
He took off his (halo) colar and that way he could rebel.
so the angels are slaves in this movie...yeeeeaaaahhh

So the enemy is "THE God" as in, the one, the Alpha and the Omega, dude who created EVERYTHING.

And he's gonna get owned by rednecks with shotguns?

Awesome.

So bad, that it'll be watchable.

(Oh, and I have no problem with God being the bad guy like some people, I mean c'mon, if he/she/it was trying to wipe out your species, you'd consider it an enemy too)

Looks interesting. For some reason it reminds me of mutant chronicles.
