I loved Lego until I was about 11, then my interest in them waned(Thanks alot video games!) So my slow descent into video games stopped my love of Lego, and I was forced to abandon them, leaving them in a box. I now only can remember my childhood, when everything seemed so simple, and when Lego was the best thing in the world(Next to dinosaurs and space).

yeah. Legos are great. The creativity that some of these people have is just mind-blowing.

The Lego toys are ok, but the way it teamed with Lucas Arts is just screwy. If I never see another Lego video game again, I would be perfectly happy.

Legos... good time, good times. Fun toys that encouraged thought. Although it was a hassle when you had a big box of pieces and needed one specific piece.

This Lego set is one of the start of a new brand. This I like.

This is most deplorably NOT Lego. What in the déuce are they thinking?

I liked Legos as a kid but wasn't as good as my peers at building things, especially from my imagination. I still built though! And every day I babysit I end up playing with the blocks more than the kid does and trying to build intricate buildings and castles. Which the kid takes apart..

My guy rekindled my love in a way. Sometimes I just watch him build them. But he doesn't really build from imagination. He's a bigger fan of the Star Wars sets. (Just bought him the X-Wing for Christmas! Amazon and Walmart price - over $100 and out of stock, official Lego website price - $50. WOO!)

I hope to buy many more sets in the future. We're just a little uneasy about it as we know we're about to move into a house in a year or less and put together Lego sets DO NOT survive moves. We're still finding pieces of droid soldiers around the house from our last move. Makes us very sad.

But! Our daughter is about to be born (I'm 37 weeks!) so we've just GOT to buy more Legos.

Ugh. Agreed. That greengrocer building is very nice. However that other thing is one of the reasons why despite my permanent love for the product, my love for the company Lego is waning. Though the greengrocer building and those like it give me hope.

Lego sets can sometimes survive moves if they're in a box and cushioned with plenty of blankets. Congratulations by the way on the upcoming baby. Get them hooked on lego early! It definitely helped me build creativity as a little one.

If you still have the box, can I have it? :p

I thought Lego was more creative back in the 90's, there seems to be too many customized pieces nowadays.

Sometimes, imagination is more fun.

However, we have Lego Star Wars, Lego Indiana Jones, and Lego Batman..... So where's my Lego Lord of the Rings?

True, though the first set Anarchemitis showed looks like it has very few custom pieces, but uses old ones in interesting ways. The second is proof of what you're complaining about. Ugh.

I still take out my Legos from time to time. Besides, how can it not be the most awesome toy ever when something like this exists?

Yes, that is an aircraft carrior made out of 100% Lego, complete with Lego fighter-planes. Yes, it is one of the most amazing things I have ever seen. No, that kid has no life.

I've always had fun playing with lego, no matter my age. If someone I visit has a kid with lots of lego and stuff, they usually appreciate me sitting down and playing with their children for a while. They usually appreciate it and thank me for watching over their kids for a little while, but they don't realise that I do it mostly for myself. Joy!

Lego is the most awesome toy ever made. It's something anyone of any age can enjoy, but has enough possibilities to create really awesome stuff if you're more advanced. And it's something I can share with my little brother.

That's no kid... that's a grown man. That thing even has electric lights and moving elevators. At least the guy got to show it all around europe. He spent a lot of money making it though...

This kid is my hero. I still remember the awful replica of a Empire Star Destroyer from star wars, back when I was still a kid.

I love them, but I don't at all like the direction they've been taking them. Use good old fashion Lego ingenuity to make your sets instead of copping out and making new pieces.

Legos are a very cool, very simple construction tool that can be manipulated into an art form in the right hands. Patience and creativity can make legos something much more then just a children's toy. After all, behind all those box sets, whose designing them? Certainly not just a class of third-graders.

WHO WANTS TO GO TO LEGOLAND?!??!!

http://www.halftondesign.com/legoland/legolandca
Sadnly I don't live near California, but I want to go!

I thought it was just a rumor that an entire themepark was based off Legos, but then just recently two of my just got back from a trip in California and informed me that, no it is quite real.
