I play both. I enjoy both, for differing reasons and have no issues with either side, just the folks who think they're better than everyone else because of the size of their GPU/RAM

I exclusively play on PC however I don't have any kind of vendetta against consoles. Ever since my PS2, I just have never seen them offer anything to draw me back into the fold. I can usually do it all on my PC.

I prefer console. You can't get the games I like on PC, or if you can, they tend not to be to the same quality. I typically like Japanese arcade games.

I play PC from time to time, but almost exclusively games from the 90s - early 2000s. The indie PC scene has actually alienated me. So many games on steam, but none that look very unique and appealing to me. Just a preference though.

I own a PC and no consoles, so it has to be the first category for me. I often thought about getting myself something like a PS3, but never found enough sufficiently convincing arguments to sink my money into it.

I do also own a tablet and I have dabbled in some games, but those turned out to be pretty disappointing. Some had really amazing graphics (for a portable device), but the controls on a touchscreen are just too clumsy. It's not my cup of tea.

You might want to check out emulating, tablets tend to have beefier innards than your average phone these days, so they can run higher quality games. PS1, GBA, even DS era games (if you can find a good program for it, anyway). Those older consoles had absolutely shitloads of great games, and they're *so old* that they don't take much processing power to run. Perfect for phones, tablets and the like.

I mainly play on a console (PS3), but mobile for trains and PC for indie games. Honestly I do more PC gaming as of recently (Binding of Isaac and FTL), but I consider myself a console gamer.

Neither. I don't "identify" myself as a gamer either. I play games in the same sense that I read books, listen to music and watch films and occasionally television, I do not define myself by doing those so it makes no sense for me to do it for gaming.

I have a PC because PC's are useful, I play the games on the PC that it can handle and I used to use the Xbox 360 for everything else before I traded it in. I have a PS3 that I would have sold or traded except it's cheaper to keep it or else I'd need to buy a Blu-Ray player anyway. So if a game comes out that I want and it's on the PS3 I may pick it up (such as GTA V).

I don't have a "preferred" platform, my choices are pragmatic. A PC has other uses, and so does my PS3. In the future I imagine I will get rid of the PS3 and stick a Blu-Ray player in my PC but for the time being it'd cost me more to do so.

PC only, unless you count tablets and smartphones. I have nothing against consoles, i just don't need one. I already have at least 7 games installed that i havent finished and i don't know when i will get around to doing it, if i had another console then it would just be collecting dust. Probably the biggest issue is that i'm too used to m & k by now, so playing games that involve shooting would be a pain in the ass and i don't like when the game picks targets for me.

Plenty of idorts around, that's surprising. Lots of people with lots of disposable income!
What's an idort? The only thing I could find for it is as a misspelling of idiot.

I am 38, I have been playing computer games at home since 1984 (ZX Spectrum). I have never owned a console.

I've identified as a PC gamer since I built my first 386 as a teenager to play Falcon 3.0 on... that said, I do own 9 consoles, the newest being a PS3 (and the oldest being an Atari 2600).

I use both but identify with neither. I see zero point in a person identifying with the platform on which they play games - that people think it's worth arguing about is ridiculous as far as I'm concerned.

Good Lord there are certainly few console only folks on here it seems, now I'm a bit scared! ;_;

It's always been consoles and handhelds for me. I hear many arguments for switching to PC and none of them have ever come close to convincing me to do so. I've played games for about 17 years, consoles and handhelds have served me well enough thank you very much! crosses arms

PC only here, but I do occasionally play stuff on friends' consoles. The TV in my living room exists primarily for movies, anime and a few ongoing shows :D

Here you go sir/ma'am.

It is more an internet "meme" or slang thing, rather than anything you would find in an actual dictionary. Essentially, it is an individual that owns multiple consoles or gaming peripherals. However, to truly be an idort, you have to stay neutral during the great console war(s).

At least, as I understand the matter.

I really got no clue. At the moment I'm PC and then consoles, but for the past four years I've been all about consoles. Before that it was all PC and before that it was all console!

Soooo not sure if I get to vote and to what. Guess I'll go with both.

I am actually really shocked by how many PC gamers there are here, I figured it would be mostly console gamers here. I mainly play on PC. I used to be mainly a console gamer but then the console generation started to drag on. Now I usually only play on console if it's an exclusive. PC games are cheaper and quite frankly, I can't aim with an analog stick. If I'm playing a shooting game on a console, be it third or first person, if it doesn't have auto targeting it will be an exercise in frustration
