I used to have a fairly even split between PC and console but steam authentication has made pc gaming too much like hard work, havent brought a PC title in about 18 months so I have opted for console only.
I identify as a purely PC gamer.
Do I own consoles? Yes
Do they see use? Once in a blue moon when I feel like playing a N64 classic. I use my smartphone more.
Modern consoles have nothing that interests me. Same games as the PC, with worse performance and controls, and looking like ass when scaled to a 2560*1440 monitor - more than 4X their native resolution most of the time. Nothing against people who have a use for them, but I don't. No friends own them, the exclusives are... meh at best, and there's really no point in me having one. So I play near exclusively on the PC.

I used to game on PC and consoles, now I am an adult with less time who spends a lot of time on my PC already, so I just game on PC.

I play on both consoles and PC. I don't have a good enough PC to play many of the more demanding games if they're more recent than 2009(video card is fine, CPU and OS really hold me back). I also don't really have the money to spare to upgrade the parts as much as I would like either.
Many of the genres I prefer are also the type that play better on consoles and it doesn't help that I'm far more comfortable with the setup of a console. I like the convenience of slipping the disk in and just being able to play.
I also despise Steam on some levels. I like the convenience of buying PC titles online, especially small Indie titles that wouldn't be otherwise available. However, I hate being forced to link titles that I've bought via retail to Steam.

PC, I sold my TV when my Playstation 2 died for reasons that are beyond me.
Never looked back. I have missed out on some exclusives but I have received no end of satisfaction from using my PC. I also despise the idea of having to buy an entire system to play a very limited number of exclusives - so I refuse to not partake.
The other thing is there are now Playstation 2 emulators so even though my PS2 died I can still play the games I had for it.

I've been a playstation guy since I got the original rayman and a ps1 years and years ago (and played 360 through sharing a house with xboxers at uni) but I've been getting into PC gaming a lot more recently. Sadly I ony have an old, slow laptop and can't afford a better rig, otherwise I'd definitely be more of a PC gamer with the less than thrilling next gen consoles coming up (as much as it pains me to say even the PS4 isn't bringing anything especially exciting to the table).
The PC will probably always be my preferred platform of choice. It helps that I tend to only buy games on the cheap and steam does an amazing job of that. However, I really do like my PS3. It doesn't get as much use playing games as I'd like but it's there for any exclusives that happen to come along. I'm sure I'll eventually wind up with a PS4 but I doubt it'll be before the end of next year. The Xbox has never really appealed to me. In order to take full advantage of it you need a Live Gold subscription and that's only worthwhile if you're into multi-player, which I am not.
I tend to play RPGs and other solo on the PC and anything multiplayer on the consoles since most of my chums are less invested in gaming than I am. So both for me.
Hahahah (because thats how people start a sensible comment right??? right????) I never understand why the Steam fanboys feel the need to jump to their defence whenever someone dares to suggest they don't like the system. I find Steam incovenient because I would rather choose as and when to update my games rather than be forced up update as soon as said update is released. I also travel alot and on more than one occasion I pitched up in a hotel without free wifi, popped open my laptop and opted to "play offline" only for Steam to demand i connect to the internet and update Steam before I will be allowed to play offline.
