I love brownies so, so very much. Everyone in the house knows that I go crazy over them. When my sister pops around and bakes some of her brownies, I just savour them up.

To me, the thing about brownies is that they need to be eaten cold. I'm not sure why but that just makes them so much better.

Brownies are the food of the GODS. I go the gym every week SIMPLY so I can eat a brownie the size of my hand guilt-free.

(I know, I won't be burning off NEARLY enough calories in one work-out to make up for it. I don't care.)

Brownies are amazing, if made right.

Sometimes they just end up being like squares of dry chocolate cake, in which case they were made very wrong and you should not eat them.
Amen brotha. You have to make them melt in your mouth. Otherwise they just taste wrong.

I go yay for brownies, there are simply so sweet but these days I take better care of my teeth so I won't eat so many brownies.

Yay for brownies, but muffins > brownies.

Most delicious thread in a while I must say.

EVERY brownie I've eaten is dry and reminds me of chalk.
Here is your problem. Brownies should be MOIST and DENSE and DELICIOUS.

Not like cake. Or rather, like cake but infinitely better.

Have Ben and Jerries chocolate fudge brownie.

Tell me that is not a big warm mouthful of joy...
I think it's not really supposed to be a *warm* mouthful.

I love brownies, especially the space version.

If every brownie you've had has been dry, then all you're saying is you've never tried an appropriately created brownie. If all the beer I had was miller lite I'd probably think beer tastes gross too.

fish < chicken < beef < pork < brownies < chocolate chip cookies

My mother only bakes brownies only on special occasions, and they are

moist and rich, with a flaky external crust.
I'll only eat about 5-6 pieces though, since I don't have much of a sweet tooth. But a cousin of mine can take care of a dozen of them in one sitting. He just needs about 15 minutes before downing another dozen more.

I hate to sound egotistical, but I make the best fucking brownies ever, they are sweet as hell and so chocolatey and FUDGEY, see brownies are ART, they have to be the right amount of fudgey, the right amount of moisture and the right amount of sweetness
They turn out cakey?
RUINED
They turn out dry?
RUINED
They taste of egg?
RUINED
...
This post turned out a bit weird...
Anyway come here and I shall make brownies, they aren't just cake THEY CAN'T BE CAKEY, they must be fudgey, and being dry? EUCH!

Then again, I'm biased because EVERY brownie I've eaten is dry and reminds me of chalk.
Clearly you've never had proper brownies. They shouldn't be moist, exactly, but dry chalkiness is wrong. Get a decent brownie (ideally warm), and we shall bring you back on to the true path yet.
