Back in the good old days (1994) of gaming a game was released known as Little Big Adventure or Relentless: Twinsen's Adventure. It was an interesting adventure game with a blend of action, exploration and stealth. It used an unique gameplay system and had amazing graphics (for the time). A lot of people fell in love with the game, myself included. And everything got even better with the sequel. I still have fond memories of the game.

While the original studio that made the game no longer exists, some of the people behind the game have come together to discuss the possibility of remake. The remake for the first game has been confirmed now. If the first remake is successful. There might even be a part 3 happening. I, for one, am glad. But I am also sad there has been no mention of a remake of part 2.

So, what are your thoughts on this? Are you looking forward to the remake? How about a new sequel?

Originally discussed back in August, talk of a remade/remixed version of Adeline Software International's Little Big Adventure (known stateside as Relentless: Twinsen's Adventure) has resurfaced during an interview between GoG.com and the creative minds behind the series, Didier Chanfray, Frédérick Raynal and Sébastien Viannay.

Other than confirmation that a rerelease of the original Little Big Adventure is in the works, the team also hinted at the possibility of an eventual Little Big Adventure 3: "We obviously have a lot of ideas for a third part, our best fans already know some of them, but before telling you more we need to test some of them with the remake. Games are different nowadays and we don't want to be stuck in 90's." If only every developer could be so self-aware.

I remember playing the sequel because it was too advanced for my uncle's computer at the time (probably still is :p), and I didn't much care for it. My brother loved it, so I'll pass the news on...

Oh my god this is brilliant news.

I found this game really fun to play. Sadly I only got up to the tombs section in the desert before getting stuck and always found the game rather challenging (even the first prison escape level) because I was very young when I played it, and I still have the original box and disk but it doesn't work on my PC, so a remake would be great fun and let me experience most of the game.

Cannot wait to see how the gemplay holds up, it was always miles ahead of it's time.

I got stuck on the same room! The spikey-log-rolly bit, right?

OT: This is incredible! I have been checking every couple months with diminishing hopes for news on LBA3, I'd given up hope years ago, but every now and then, I'd just have to look. This is a dream come true.

Yep that room!!! Couldn't get past it so I missed out like half the game.

I pretty much watched my Dad played it, I wasn't very good because I must have been about 5-8 years old when I played it so a game like that, with stealth and loads of non-combat items, must have been very challenging at the time.

A remake though will be insane. Finally getting to play that game again would make my year.

Nice!

God I can still remember all teh frustrations I had with this game when i was a dumb little kiddy, I went back to play it in my sixteens and had no problem whatsoever, was laughing my ass off at myself for being such an idiot in the past, I recall seeing an item in the desert across a gap between 2 hilltops - as a kid I figured you should jump across the gap with a dashing sprint, I tried that time and time again and never got up on that hilltop, at least I was persistent. I think you needed a car or something to actually make the jump, its hard to recall the solution since that success was done in a moments notice without much thought, though the repeating FAILURE I had as a child stayed with me in my mind xD

Loved that game, looking forward to the remake!
